DO NOT GO HERE. I did a month long of out-patient therapy. I was desperate. The therapy was trash. I actively argued with my therapist. I told them the treatment was ineffective and they did nothing to change it. I had to argue to be heard in my group therapy. I was disrespected by my therapists. They continued to use my dead name and wrong pronouns. NOT LGBTQ friendly. I was treated like I was stupid. Outpatient therapy was mostly the therapist reading off worksheets. It was inactive and not Interactive.
I worked with psychiatrist, Alan Hirsh. I did not learn of my mental health diagnosis until

A family member was admitted to this facility and was there for several weeks. During that time I was never able to speak to him and was constantly transferred around. A woman named Letisha who answered the phones to route the calls argued with me and then proceeded to tell me that if I call back she wouldn’t answer. She told me that maybe my family member didn’t want to talk to me. She proceeded to argue with me and then hung up on me. I left several messages to speak with a supervisor and no one ever called me back. I was never able to speak with my family member and the phones were never

Dropped off a family member some clothes on monday night. All checked and confirmed the clothes could be there. She never recieved the clothes and was given used clothes. When picking her up waited hours for the items and they were never found. Seems as if the clothes were stolen so i filed a police report in hopes that they can be found.

Poor management with zero accountability. Patient was transferred here from ER and was here for 10 days. For the first 4 days we were not able to get a hold of anyone. Each day we got contradictory information about the patients medication and what was taken by the patient. At the end of 10 days they discharged the patient without giving any medication saying that the patient refused to take. All this while the patient has legal guardian. Poor experience all around.

A family member of mine is currently there and all I can say is that the negative reviews are true. All they do is milk your insurance and babysit the person until it's time for them to get out. No one ever proactively calls you and you have to keep bugging them for any information. It's interesting how now that my family member is close to getting out they all of a sudden want to try to help them, when we've been trying to tell them that info since Day 1 when they were admitted. Please choose another place. Don't suffer like we are.

I've had mental health issues all my life and been in other behavioral hospitals and they've all been somewhat helpful however Lake Behavioral Hospital is by far the best in my opinion. Every single member of the staff especially Artemis , Mickey , Ms Teresa, Donnie, Dr. Hirsch and his staff (as well as all the other staff members whose names I can't recall at the moment(even the security staff)) made me feel recognized AND safe.. I felt that everyone recognized me as a good person and they were all especially Artemis SUPER PATIENT with me and all my idiosyncrasies. Thank you Lake Behavioral for

My loved one is currently hospitalized there. I am currently waiting on a call from the Doctor since requesting him to call since last Friday. I have left at least 20 messages and no call. This is very sad. He is currently not on any of his medications. Today I called around 12:30PM and left a message for a nurse to call me and I left 6 messages , it's now after 7:30 PM and still no call. This is very unprofessional. Mental Health could affect anyone, this could be your loved one, how would you want to be treated? IGNORED??? I think not!!! I will see what tomorrow brings and I sure hope that this

The nurses and the MHT were very professional, and some group therapy was helpful. On the other hand for someone with mental health problems, they deprive you of a lot of things that'll help out with some diagnosis. Like the fact you're only able to shower once in the morning very early, or late at night plus you don't get enough time. Someone who suffers from ptsd and severe panic attacks, something as little as a shower to calm your nerves whenever you need is a must. It's almost like a power trip for the staff. My main problems where my social worker who I only saw twice, and my psychiatrists

I was lied to about what medicine I was given while having a panic attack on two separate occasions. (That's just wrong on so many levels) Dr. Hirsch would prescribe medications without ever letting me get a word out. He refused to listen to when I spoke to him. He came across as rude. My therapist was awesome though.
