My wife and I moved into The Village apts 2 years ago.we had looked at other places throughout Carlsbad but really fell.

This place is great! My wife and I moved here about 8 months ago, and we really like it here. I don't know what it was like before, but I can't find anything bad to say. The community is neat and well maintained. The apartments are small-ish, but nice, and have a backyard and laundry hookup. If you have a dog, this is your place...very dog friendly.

I have done a lot of research and read a lot of reviews for apartments in Carlsbad and the Village apartments are by far the most dog friendly. My husband and I were suppose to move in March on military orders and our orders were changed to April. I was so concerned because we had already paid a deposit and signed a lease at the Village. When explaining the situation to the Apartment manger she quickly found us another apartment and had a new lease the next day saving us over $2K. Jen is an excellent manager, she is accommodating, knowledgeable, caring, just a delight to work with. If moving in

Life time. The rental manger Jenifer didn’t tell us that we were moving into a horrific situation. The neighbor to our left is mentally ill, a danger to himself and others. The manager knew it was a horrific problem. She had been told by many people in the complex. I am now working with the District Attorney. I have reported the company who is his caretaker for Elder abuse and we will be moving out. This is HELL.

I've lived here for about a month and a half now, and I love it. Jen, the new on-site manager is on the ball, and made my move-in effortless. The maintenance staff is great. Luis and Bob had to come out for a couple minor issues when I first moved in. They showed up within a half hour of my call, and took care of the issues with no problems. The grounds are always well maintained and clean. Yes, they are a little higher priced than some other places I've checked, but well worth it in my opinion. Oh, and my neighbors are great too! Love this place!!

Do yourself a favor a don't even check it out. Place is expensive, outdated and the property management company cuts every corner possible. Maintainence crew is on site, but they only know basic things and not very good at that. Plus they take forever to get something fixed. Best part is, at the end of your lease they assuredly will raise you rent. And not just a small increase, especially if you want to switch to month to month. If you do decide to move out, be prepared for a ridiculous move out bill and no deposit back. Don't expect in getting a straight answer when you asked why something was
