I called yesterday to set up an evaluation for my mother after having a stroke. I explained we were looking for some hours of care in the morning and again in the evening. Set up appointment for today to do evaluation with my dad at 10:00. I left work to be there by 10. At 10:20 I got a call from them stating they didnt have staff for morning services. Would have been helpful to know that when I called yesterday. If this is an example of their care and service I have one word. YIKES!

My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s back in March and has gradually become worse and worse. Caring for him became very difficult for my mother, and since my brother and I live over 2 hours away we couldn’t help. I started calling a few home health agencies in Wilmington. The first company never answered a phone and the other company I called seemed very rude . Macklyn was the third agency that I called. I believe the workers name was crystal that I spoke with. I wrote it down but can’t find that paper. I was probably on the phone with her for over 20 minutes. Every time I apologized

After my mother’s heart attack we didn’t know what to do to care for her. My brother lives in VA and I cant afford to take time off work. When looking at different nursing homes I just couldn’t find one I believed would be a good fit for mom. one of my coworkers mentioned to me that she had home health aids from Macklyn come in to care for her father, so I called MACKLYN and they set up a meeting with me the SAME DAY! After filling out paperwork I was able to tell the hospital to release my mother home. She very quickly got comfortable with her care giver and I was happy to go to be Home

My mother's aide, Sarah Pensky is wonderful! She is reliable, dependable, caring, and has such a positive attitude. It's such a relief for me to know that my Mom is happy and enjoying herself while I am at work. Sarah helps me out so much by taking my Mom to doctor's appointments and helping her get to her swim classes at the YMCA. Sarah is a very conscientious and trustworthy person and my Mom and I really appreciate her companionship and services!

They did a fantastic job with my mother. I've tried three other local agencies (I live in Wilmington) and none came close to the service Macklyn provided. Macklyn was also the least expensive of all other companies as I price shopped around, and they were $5-8 an hour less on average. Plus they accept Medicaid, which we didn't know covered it, but Macklyn's staff helped us the entire way to guide her through the process of getting Medicaid to cover it.. so for my mom it ended up being completely free! I can't thank Macklyn Home Care enough, as they saved my families life and kept my mom where she
