Our name, Bear Bottom Resort, was inspired by our family's love for the outdoors and our children's love of spending the summer barefoot. Originally built in 1959 by Mr. Eddie Bryant, the resort opened as The Holly Air Resort, boasting such "lavish" amenities as air conditioned rooms, electricity and a pool. Our 58 acre resort features lakefront rental units, two restaurants, three bars, an RV park and campground, two waterslides, 38 covered boat slips, fuel dock, gift shop and a boat ramp.

Every Friday and Saturday at 7 pm, as well as Sundays at 2 pm, you'll see great regional and local bands on the covered deck stage, with musical tastes from classic rock to the blues to the latest country hit. Relax while our full service staff serves you your choice of items for a great lake fare menu and be sure to enjoy an ice-cold beverage from Da' Pub.
Get ready to scream your way into summer fun on the Bear Bottom Waterslides. Missouri's Number 1 and Number 2 longest open flume body waterslides are waiting for you to enjoy. Over 700 feet long, kids young and old alike are sure to enjoy this lakeside attraction. While you are resting between runs, swim up to our poolside Bar and enjoy the coldest beer at the lake, or order up a frozen specialty drink that is guaranteed to cool you down.
Be one of the first to visit the new BEAR WEAR gift shop, located on the gas dock. Browse thru a selection of shirts, shorts, tanks, jackets, and many other items from our exclusive Bear Wear line of lake apparel The gift shop also stocks water related needs for personal health and happiness, as well as life jackets, water toys and towables.
Travel west on I-44 to Exit 145. Travel north 6 miles on Hwy 133 to Richland. At the stoplights turn left onto Hwy 7 North. At the edge of town you will see the Simply Pleasures Ice Cream Shop. Stop in here for the needed pottie break, and get yourself a hand dipped ice cream waffle cone; you are only 50 minutes from the resort now.

Where do I start? There are so many things to cover on this review. Huge waterslide, great bands, great food, two pools one is a swim up bar, Matt & Melissa are the best people at owning & running this Resort. No matter what you need, just ask any of the staff. They will make sure you get it. We love fishing on one of the docks here. Lots of fish. We've stayed here every year for the past 7 years. Now we're addicted! I can't fit all the great things that go on here. THANKS MATT & MELISSA!

Bear Bottom has a nice dock space and a good atmosphere but the food was just ok and my craft cocktail ($13) was a huge disappointment. It was made with Watermelon and Basil Grey Goose and served in an aluminum glass but still managed to be unbalanced and not quite thoroughly chilled. The service was fine and we enjoyed the view of the lake so put this on the list if you're looking for basic food and bottled or canned drinks.

Had a group in from out of town. We all went on Friday afternoon of forth of July weekend. All of us paid for the slide and drinks , shots. Visited the bar up buy pool and slide. Bartenders were the most unfriendly and no personalities at all. We will not return for awhile. My guests were not impressed at all!!

This is a hidden gem. Cute little bar you can sit inside or out by the lake. The appetizers are good: chicken wings, huge plate of nachos, pretzel with cheese (spicy), onion rings, ect. There is a pool. There is a water slide that looks like a blast and ends next to a smaller swim up bar. I didn't have cell service at the bar which could be a plus or minus.

We stayed in the RV park for a month. Matt and his family are great hosts! The spots were large enough for our 42' fifth wheel and truck which is always a bonus. The bar was a great spot to sit and watch the sunset over the lake while enjoying some drinks (happy hour every night??). Definitely would recommend! Can't wait to go back.

The people there are amazing. The regulars are always fun and entertaining. The staff always has a positive attitude even when they are slammed. The food tastes great. My favorite is the wings, my family loves the nachos and burgers. The atmosphere is relaxing. The kids love the slides. And the owners have done an amazing job creating a family friendly resort during the day and evening and a fun night club atmosphere at night.
