The reality is that sometimes we are too close to our issues to be able to accurately assess them. Our self-bias often prevents reliable assessment, and we need help. Dr. Dahlke has built her career providing children and adolescents with that help through the treatment of conditions such as depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, oppositional defiant problems, ADHD, bipolar affective problems, schizophrenia, and more.

Tried diagnosing my son (who already had a diagnosis) with bipolar and/or schizophrenia within 30 minutes of his first "assessment" appointment and then prescribing medication for the original diagnosis. Then, had the nerve to hound us to pay the bill before sending it to collections. What a quack! Be careful!

She takes the time to see each child and think about their needs. Dr Dahlke is very thorough when it comes to diagnosis, making sure that she applies her own professional opinion through questions, family history, and constant updates. Mental Health diagnosis isn’t the same as finding a broken bone on an x-ray. It is much more fluid and sometimes takes years to get a good diagnosis.
