Other hotels in the Adirondacks cannot live up to our resort standards. All guest accommodations have king-size beds, large stone fireplaces and wonderful lake and/or mountain views.
Preferred Room Location - look at the room pictures and the room video to choose which room and location that's best for you. Easiest Cancellation Policy - Cancellation is easy (but you do need to contact us 14 days prior to arrival) and avoids the hassle and uncertainty of dealing with third parties.

Absolutely beautiful inside and out! We didn't want to leave. Between, the jacuzzi in our room, the pool table, sauna, hot tub, theater and other activities.. we had no reason to leave. Wendy, the Innkeeper is amazing and so thoughtful. She really pays attention to detail and makes the experience perfect in every way. Breakfast is fantastic, especially when you're enjoying it in front of the fireplace with mimosas. If you have never been here before, you need to give it a try. 100% recommend.

An absolutely amazing weekend getaway ! My girlfriend and I spent the weekend here over NYE. The property is stunning, comfortable yet luxurious rooms and plenty of amenities on site! Wendy was absolutely incredible, so flexible and accommodating to us! Chef’s breakfasts were some of the best we’ve ever had ! Overall, my girlfriend and I have already planned on returning ! A must stay !

My husband and I were looking for a romantic getaway (belated honeymoon) and man did we get that plus some. The entire atmosphere is calming, romantic, warm and inviting. The inn keeper Wendy is a delight to be around and she really makes the experience wonderful. She is like a friend you have always known and feels like she has been there forever. I surprised my husband with a stay here for our anniversary and it was amazing! Thoughtful staff, beautiful area! We loved playing board games, playing pool, and enjoying the hot tub and s’mores! I got an amazing nights sleep and enjoyed waking up to a beautiful view! I would highly recommend to others and I can’t wait to come back again myself to stay!! Next time I come I will be sure to stay for a few more days at a time!!

Our stay at the fern lodge was amazing! Everybody was super accommodating and kind. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. There’s so much to do we were sad we couldn’t do it all. I recommend everybody to stay here! Also props to the chef because the food was amazing both days. We will be back soon!!!!

The perfect get away! My husband and I stayed at the Fern Lodge as a “mini-moon” after our wedding. It was absolutely lovely. It’s a very private and intimate setting on the beautiful Friends Lake. We were lucky to have good weather and go on a boat tour where we enjoyed the scenic views and wine and snacks. Our room was stunning, we stayed in the “Forest” room. The in keepers were so kind to us as well. I cannot wait for us to come back for an anniversary trip!

We had such a great weekend in the Adirondacks with Fern Lodge as our base. Very cool spot on a quiet lake. Wendy and team were very friendly and accommodating. The chef customized our daily breakfast and snacks to suit dietary requirements and everything was delicious. We had breakfast delivered to our private balcony, one day with a carafe of mimosas. Daily wine and snacks at happy hour were a great way to change from day to night plans. We came up for a few days of relaxation and found exactly that. They lodge is beautiful and staff are extremely attentive - make you feel right at home. The setting cannot be beat. So quiet and peaceful. We loved going out on the water in the mornings with the lake like glass. Great for paddling around in the kayaks and canoes that Fern Lodge offers. Will definitely be coming back!

This lodge has all the makings to be an amazing experience but fell completely flat with lack of execution, detail, and communication between hosts and guests. My boyfriend and I booked the Forest Guest room (listed as the most luxurious and most expensive room) for our anniversary. Before arrival I emailed the host Sharon to notify her that I have a service animal. No response and I had to reach out to confirm she had received his paperwork. My fiance surprised me for my birthday and rented out the whole lodge for a fabulous family celebration. We were treated to an amazing dinner by a private chef, slept in sumptuous guest rooms with every detail attended to and were awoken to the most amazing breakfast spread! Sharon worked with my fiance to make sure I was completely surprised! My adult children, their spouses and grandchildren each were made to feel so welcome by Sharon and her staff!

A hidden gem in friends lake. We stayed here for one night and they literally have everything you can think of for a vacation home; outdoor jacuzzi, pool, bar, theater room, boat tour, smores, fireplace and a steam room.
If you are lucky, you can spend time at outdoor jacuzzi for yourself/ your family. They also serve room-service breakfast which was delicious.
The only minus points I want to mention are 1. no real fireplace (electronic fireplace) in your room (totally understood, but thought they had a real fireplace in each room from the pix we saw online. but they have like 3 real fireplaces

Can't say enough positive things about my experience at the Fern Lodge! We spent the weekend here and rented out the lodge for a small wedding in July, and had the most amazing time! The lodge itself, and the attentive and welcoming staff, made the whole weekend special and stress-free. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and all unique in their own way. All are so comfortable and the beds/sheets were so luxurious, it truly felt like a relaxing get away. We enjoyed a (too) short honeymoon at Fern Lodge and could not have been more pleased. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and nothing has been left out of the whole experience there. Such a pretty, peaceful place with beautiful landscaping, a lovely house, and every amenity you could imagine. Our room was perfect, from the steam shower and fireplace, to the comfy bed and private balcony. The boat ride with Sharon was great fun, and we enjoyed playing pool and eating popcorn. My wife and I just returned from a 3-night stay at the Fern Lodge, and let's get the critical line out of the way up front: It was amazing.
We live in Arlington, and it was a 7.5 hour drive, which made us a little hesitant, but also made us stay three nights instead of two. And I am so happy that we did.
When we arrived, Sharon and Greg were there to welcome us, and they could not have been any nicer or more friendly. They also have two adorable dogs, the younger Noche and the older (more stately) Shadow. After getting the tour, we were shown our room, Cedar, which was awesome--gas fireplace

I hate to even write this because I selfishly don't want too many people to know about this place. It's like my own little private haven at the outskirts of Lake George.
Sharon is just magic. She's attentive, helpful, a great cook and so incredibly generous and open.
She greeted us after a hideous day of travel, told us where to eat, showed us the property and carried our bag for us. She made us vegetarian, gluten free options for breakfast.
Her two dogs, Shadow and Noche, are just precious.

Absolutely magical. Sharon and Susana were kind and considerate hosts, along with the gorgeous amenities and luxurious ambience. It was the perfect destination for our anniversary! From the downstairs bar to the private movie room ~ to the scenic views from the balcony in your bedroom, this is now one of my most favorite getaway luxury retreats ~ and when I say, "reTREAT", I mean absolutely stunning! Overall, the best stay that I have had in a long long time (& I travel at least once a month in the northeast). 10 stars!

We came to The Fern Lodge as part of a wedding weekend. Although we didn't stay overnight here, we spent a considerable amount of time here for the ceremony, but also the night before and after the reception just hanging out. This is a gorgeous spot for a special weekend getaway. The lodge has a pool table, hot tub, and movie theatre! It's right on the lake and we were able to take boats out and my husband enjoyed fishing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of the 30+ people that were hanging out all weekend for this wedding. I would definitely like to come back with my husband

My girlfriend and I spent valentine's weekend 2015 at The Fern Lodge. You pull into a long driveway which leads to a secluded getaway. When you walk in you see magnificent fireplace in the great room which is floor to ceiling and a view of the lake in the back and are greeted by your hosts and owners Sharon & Greg, as well as the resident labs!!

Just got home from my anniversary weekend. Omg, I'd go back right now if i could. It was so romantic, i can't even put into words. We stayed in the forest room with the babymoon package. We had a fireplace and jacuzzi in our room which was very nice. I received a prenatal massage which was just what my body needed at 7 months pregnant.
Sharon & Greg are so hospitable. They cook a delicious breakfast every morning and are there to help with whatever you need.

My boyfriend and I just spent 4 wonderful nights at the Fern lodge in July and had a relaxing time! I had emailed Sharon ahead of time to let her know about my dietary restrictions (vegan) and she was able to accommodate my needs every morning (delicious oatmeal, sweet potato hash, fruit, french toast, veggie scrambles, soy milk and granola).
