I don’t think the reviews are very accurate of this place many are old and outdated as many changes have occurred this past year. I’ve lived here for a year now and have no issues. The apartment was newly renovated, they redid all the pools, and amenities. The landscaping is beautiful. Very dog friendly but haven’t had any issues with constant barking. My only two minor complaints are that they force you to pay for a door to door trash service which is $35 and results in people leaving trash bags in the hallway. I’d rather they do away with the service and just increase rent that much.

My husband and I have lived at this property for almost a year and we cannot wait to leave. Other than the maintenance staff, which is prompt, there is nothing prompt about this company. We should have known from the beginning that this was an unprofessional company to rent from.
When we toured the property, they showed us a remodeled unit and when driving back to the office, they showed us the exterior of another unit coming available that ended up fitting our needs better, but wouldn't show us the inside of the unit. This is a review based on being a guest and for those who have friends or loved ones living there. Make sure the tenants ask for a guest parking permit otherwise your vehicle will be towed. There is no one on the lot to help with anything. All guest parking permits must be done online and then printed and left on any vehicle. It's going to cost me 300+ dollars to get my car out of impound. The entire time I walked around I saw no signs stating "no guest parking" or anything for guests. I spent my time on hold walking around and saw no cars with any indication of having any permits that are "required

You couldn't pay me to live here again. Lived here for a 1.5 yrs and could not wait to leave. The amount of trashy people who moved here increased dramatically from the day I moved in. People are inconsiderate and are loud all hours of the day. Yes the apartments are nice and updated, but the neighbors make this place trashy and an unpleasant place to live.

I am thrilled by the service I always receive by the staff at Veranda La Mesa. I was using my key to get into the laundry room and it was sticking. I saw Alex, a maintenance staff member and stopped him and told him my key was sticking. He said he would get me another. i just went about my business and did not think about it the rest of the day. At around 4 p.m. my doorbell rang, there was Alex at the door with my new key (which he told me he had already tried and it did not stick). This is just an example of the committed staff that work at Veranda La Mesa. I want to thank Alex for taking

He came to my place after hours for an "emergency" fridge issue. He drove an hour + and it was technically false alarm. It was slowing down so they do plan to replace it this week but i just appreicate that he was on it and wasnt going to risk my fridge that was full of food ($$) go to waist.

I've lived here for 6 years and they've pulled through and have made my stay and comfortable as can be, the entire new staff has been so kind and helpful with all of my needs. Although I need to be working on a new house soon if it were up to me I would stay here another 6 years, don't tell that to my fiancée though. I would personally like to thank Wendy Crawford in successfully tackling all of our requests and being so understanding!!

The property is gorgeous and spacious. The maintenance crew works non stop to keep things running smooth. I became a tenant right when the shut down occurred and since then there has been quality and professional staff in the management department that has developed a new and improved way communicating with residence

Stacy Stallworth leasing consultant is amazing & informative. She provided a wonderful tenant appreciation taco Tuesday. They keep the environment clean and beautiful. I've live in this complex for about two years and love all the amenities like basketball court and dog park and all the pools and jacuzzi. There's multiple stores & parks nearby in loving neighborhood. If family & friends environment is for you this place would be perfect try contacting Stacy.

I’ve had to call the leasing office multiple times today for different reasons and every person I spoke to did an incredible job! From adding a new roommate to fixing minor maintenance issues, every request was answered within the day! For having over 400 units, they really take care of you. Let me start by saying that Stacy really made moving in a great experience. From her excellent communication to her hospitality. My wife and I lost the house so it was difficult moving in to a apartment but Stacy really made us feel at home. From the moment we walked in she greeted us immediately, offered us snacks and drinks. Was very patiant with our questions and guided us step by step until our move in date. The community is nice and quiet. The dog parks are a excellent touch as well. The gym is always clean and the washers and dryers are really nice and state of the art. I highly recommend

When I moved in last October of 2019 I was very much looking forward to my stay .
The first thing that happened that extremely upset me was when my car got towed a couple of weeks after moving in . I was told the parking was free and you could park anywhere (just not under a car port unless you are paying for one of those monthly) I was never told I had to have any type of sticker or pass. When my car was towed I thought it was stolen since

Although I haven't even moved in yet, I feel compelled to leave a review on my experience with Veranda so far. I looked at a TON of apartments all over San Diego, and not one person or team was as friendly, accommodating and transparent as Ernest. He showed me so many different units over a few visits, was always ready to help and even remembered what specifics I was looking for and would call when new matching units opened up. Thank you for making my needs feel heard, and also thank you to Wendy for helping out as well! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking.

They come with a lot of legal documentation which is present in the documentation, but not offered in the reality within their apartment, I asked a microwave which is included in the lease, but they said that is only available with a 2-bed room apartment, really cheap answer from the front desk. The very first day(Day one) my vehicle towed from their property, the towed company people informed they are tie-up with Veranda

I have lived here for going on 9 years and the FBI management and the newest owners are the worst.
Yesterday (1/30), while I was home a staff came by and removed my planter and the Trash Valet issued trash can. I called the office and surprisingly someone answered. Usually no one answers and I have not received a return phone call when I left a message. Back to my patio items, the person in the office does not know who removed my items or where they are.
I did get my patio items back, no word on why or who took them. Unbelievable. These characters are too much. Apparently there was an inspection

I would recommend these apartments to anyone and everyone! I just moved and have been here a week and I absolutely love it. They have all of the amenities (pool, spa, patio, bbqs, gym, dog park) that I was looking for and the square footage of my one bedroom is outstanding. The landscaping and how well kept they keep the complex is impeccable. The… staff has gone above and beyond to help me with everything I've asked and to make sure I got what I wanted; they went above and beyond. They've made my dog and I feel right at home. This place is a nightmare! We've been living in MOLD for 4 months and it took them that long to take the situation seriously. It destroyed so many of our personal belongings, we have been getting sick more frequently and how do they adress it? By coming into our unit with a rag, spray bottle and paint to cover the damage up instead of really… looking into it.
