My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay with our dog, Reggie, at the Grand Colonial Bed & Breakfast. Mike and Brick are wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The Inn is beautifully appointed with much attention paid to the smallest detail. This Inn is by far, the most comfortable and thoughtful place we have ever stayed in our journeys. The cleanliness of the entire property is superb and we really appreciated all of the precautions taken to ensure our safety. Mike's culinary expertise in the kitchen creates the most unbelievably decadent breakfast. His French

Wonderful, restful stay, and the perfect break from our Albany-Buffalo-Niagara Falls bicycle trip along the Erie Canal. The Grand Colonial was spotless, quiet, and Mike took Covid 19 protocols seriously, and pragmatically. The bedroom was lovely, good Wifi everywhere, and a flatscreen in our bedroom and a huge one downstairs. We had the living room to ourselves in the evening which was a bonus. We planned an early start in the morning and Mike prepared a FANTASTIC breakfast for the two of us in the dining room.

So glad we found this place. We were looking for somewhere to stay near Cooperstown, this was about a half hour north and was perfect! This place has a lot of charm and it comes with off street parking which is great. The room was comfortable and cozy and came with streaming service access. Mike (and his dog) was great from when we first got there to when we left. He thinks of everything, from chocolates in your room out menus and coffee carts to post cards to send home. The breakfast was amazing too! There was everything you can think of on the menu, waffles pancakes, eggs, pastries. I would definitely

The Grand Colonial B & B is a very clean, cozy, lovely place to stay with the added advantage of being pet friendly. The yard and off-street parking area were well lighted & felt secure. We stayed for two nights and the host was welcoming and very, very accommodating. When I had a very early morning appointment, the day after we arrived, he was kind enough to whip up a quick, delicious breakfast even though I came back to the B & B after the official meal hour was over. It was a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay.

We spent the weekend in Herkimer for my sister’s engagement celebrations and were fortunate to have the B&B reserved for our family (all 4 rooms). It was a wonderful experience. Mike puts so much pride into keeping the B&B clean, beautiful and quaint and the breakfasts were delicious. Mike went above and beyond to make it a great stay and is a fantastic host. Thanks so much!

We stayed here on our way to MN. It was very clean, well kept, and the owner/manager was very kind. We stayed in two of the rooms, both of which had clean bathrooms, nice linens and air conditioning. We would recommend to anyone passing through or looking for a peaceful getaway. It doesn't seem like there is much to do in the area and some of the real estate nearby seems run down, but the property itself was beautiful and well maintained and the grounds would be beautiful for a wedding or a large party.

Stayed at the Grand Colonial for three nights in the Kingsland Room. First of all, the proprietor, Mike is super friendly and, immediately, made me feel at home. He is a stickler for Covid19 safety protocols and I always felt safe. And the place is immaculate and comfortable.
Breakfasts were also very good, and made to order each morning. And Mike is one for great conversation. Brick, Mike's dog companion is so friendly, he is a joy to meet.
I strongly recommend this place for a good night's sleep, a feeling of home, and a preferred alternative to corporate hotels.

Exceeding expectations, this gorgeous colonial house offers a beautifully decorated interior, extremely comfortable bed, delicious home cooked breakfast (you must try the scones if available!) and the hospitality is out of this world with a super friendly and helpful staff that does an amazing job with cleaning and keeping everything sanitized! Easy accessible, lots of things to explore around the town and the towns nearby.

We had an exceptional experience here. The house is full of charm, extremely clean and comfortable, and the staff is very accommodating. It's a short drive from Cooperstown and well worth the trip if you're visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame or another Cooperstown-area attraction. We stayed in the Kingsland Room. The room was spacious and met all our needs. There was a 24-hour coffee and tea cart right outside our room. We will stay here again on our next visit to the area.

I am a huge fan of complimentary breakfasts and this breakfast did not disappoint. Everything is prepared and cooked that morning, great options; the berry scones were delicious. You can tell the staff puts great effort into cleaning the rooms and common areas. It shows and was spotless. If I am in the area again, I would definitely stay here again.
