Our mission is serving Christ by loving our neighbors through excellent, compassionate and accessible healthcare. The founding board of NeighborHealth was formed to address the growing number of people in Wake County without access to healthcare.
The board assessed existing healthcare resources and identified gaps; met with residents, healthcare providers, community and government organizations; and connected with successful faith-based health centers throughout the country. We determined that NeighborHealth could launch a new faith-based practice and uniquely serve an area of high need where no safety-net clinic currently exists.

Dr. Doug Briggs comes full circle in joining NeighborHealth as medical director. His family moved to Raleigh in 1981, and he graduated from UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 1987. After graduation, Dr. Briggs finished a family medicine residency program at UT Southwestern in Dallas in 1990. While in Dallas, he and his wife attended Dallas Theological Seminary and began planning a career serving in the developing world.
Sam is president of Beacon Wealthcare, equipping clients to master financial wellness and purpose. He serves NeighborHealth with the same goals, believing that quality healthcare is a fundamental requirement of breaking the cycle of poverty and enabling more abundant lives.
The ministry of NeighborHealth has deep personal significance for me having watched treatable conditions become chronic, ultimately destroying of the lives of my brother and sister-in-law.When I heard of the surprisingly high unserved need in my own neighborhood, I was eager to join the NeighborHealth effort to bring excellent and consistent primary care to our city's most vulnerable.

NeighborHealth is grateful for our many community supporters who provide medical and clinical support, refer patients for medical care, and provide financial support and volunteers. We have patient materials available in English, Spanish and Arabic. If you know of a community group, faith-based organization or anyone who share brochures with the families they serve, we'd love to share our materials.
We offer a full range of family practice primary care services including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses; chronic disease management and prenatal care. I'm giving them 2 stars because the actual provider and clinical staff met my expectations at my initial appointment. However, the ability to contact the office has been horrible. At my first appointment with them , I received my first covid vaccine. They scheduled the next one for 2 weeks later. Three days before my scheduled appointment, they left me a message stating they would like to schedule it for another day due to the nurse being out that day. When I called back, they transferred me to the covid department. They did not answer, so I left a message. I then called back several times over

My child and I see Dr Rachel Lehman, but everyone that we have interacted with from the front desk to phlebotomy have been excellent. Rachel really listens, and when she makes a decision she uses integrity. It really feels like she communicates clearly her methodology. I feel safe going here, and that's a big deal. Dr. Lehman doesn't gaslight. She cares about hearing you out and helping you meet your health goals. We are so grateful.

I’m reading through all the reviews and those who gave 5 stars, I 100% agree. I’ve seen both Dr Joyner and Dr Briggs and both are extremely kind, straightforward, and knowledgeable. For all other doctors I can remember (and I moved around a lot so it’s a lot) the front desk staff are brusque and unhelpful. Here they’re friendly both on the phone and in person.
If you’re looking for a doctors office in Raleigh, NeighborHealth is a great option.

I was hesitant to visit NeighborHealth because I have known my GP since I was born, but he is in my hometown, so I needed to switch now that I live in Raleigh. I showed up to NeighborHealth and was greeted by kind, warm smiles. Every step of the process was well done, from check in, to my visit with the PA and doctor, to check out. Raleigh needs a place like NeighborHealth to care for our people with compassion, and we are lucky to have them!

We like all the staff !!! However we LOVE LOVE DOCTOR ANDREA WEATHERS ♥️♥️♥️♥️ My kids love her she is very thorough educated and we never feel forced to do anything we are not comfortable with ! Sometimes there is a wait but we are more than ok with it. If they are with a patient long then I know they are getting the care they need and we will get the same treatment. Long review short if doctor Andrea weathers ever move we are going with 🤗

Switching doctors is a big decision, and one I made last year. I couldn’t be more pleased. The receptionist actually seemed happy to see me. The nurses who handled different steps of the process were pleasant, professional, and efficient. PA Molly Jordan was compassionate and easy to talk to. She asked more than enough good questions to get to know me. She was efficient with her time, but I didn’t feel like I was keeping her from her next patient.
