Nice and quiet 55+ park. We are full-timers here. The owners are present and friendly. Knowledgeable staff.
They all work together to keep up on keeping the park in good shape. Utilities included, upgrade available on wifi, fun activities.
Amenities include a seasonal heated pool, mini-golf, exercise room, community center, small dog park.
More expensive than some RV parks, but worth it.
We'll be here awhile - come join us!

What a nice place to stay. Staff were quite nice and everyone in the park was friendly. The coffee and biscuits on Tuesday was delicious and a good way to meet people. Sites were large enough that you were not crammed in to a spot. The only down side is there are no fires allowed. We will stay here again when in the area. I found the cable to be sufficient . The wifi could be better but I understand if you want better connections it is available for a $

We stayed at site #348 which was a nice & roomy site for our 38' mh; roomy enough for us AND the unofficial "dog potty stop". When making our reservation, we mentioned that we wanted a quiet out-of-way spot (definitely NOT-out-of- the way) and was told "this" site was perfect for us- NOT!! Apparently only half the site was ours, the other half was used by every person wanting their dog to go potty HERE on what we thought was our rented site, instead of on their own sites (mostly the permanents and seasonals doing this). When we quietly approached management, we were told "that's just how it is

We had a bad travel day. Called Lakewood to let them know we would be late. We pulled in after dark tired and stressed. We were met by the managers who welcomed us even after hours and escorted us to our sites with assistance on backing in. Thank you. We got up next morning to walk the park and there was a Saturday breakfast for 7 dollars. We had a great breakfast eggs sausage pancakes biscuits and gravy coffee and orange juice. Everyone was friendly and said hi or waved. We were only on an overnight stay so we got back on the road. Traveled with truck and 35 ft 5th wheel. Tricky to get in after

Unfortunately arrived during a heavy wind and rain event. Upon arrival, stopping the RV at the bottom of the hill, it is a hike up the hill to the office to check in. The interior roads are a little confusing because the pull through sites use the same narrow one lane to enter as well as exit. The sites are gravel, but ours was surrounded by mud as a result of the rains which made all hookups a mess. The cable TV has a guide of channels available (direct Tv) most of which do not come in. The hookups are adequate. The overall layout is a little awkward with the many permanent residents living in

We stayed at Lakewood RV Resort campground last year October 2020 in a 20 ft travel trailer. Everyone at the office was nice and accommodating. Our site was located down at the bottom of the hill as you drive into the Campgrounds. The camping sites are close and wifi and tv is pretty much non existent. It’s located close to a lot of attractions in the area and Asheville. The negative is the campgrounds has a huge problem with flooding. Behind the lovely berm which borders the inside of their property is a stream that flooded during our stay and also noted it flooded in 2018 which I found out later

Nice environment. But management is way too political for applying some simple common sense verses the "Condominium Commando" mentality which is so very, very evident at Lakewood RV. Even the staff members are afraid to say anything. The only answer you will ever get to any question is " these are the rules, I didn't make them". Major control issues here. Changing rules at will, but not publishing them on their website. So, if your making reservations - based on ANY of the listed amenities and how you may or may not be able to use them - buyer beware!!! I'll never stay here again.
