As a former employee, it didn't take me long to realize the abuse that was going on, both to the patients, but the staff licenses as well. To say this is/was a hospital designed to care for unstable children is way overstated. Yes, they housed them, but no one employed there actually "cared" for them. I got out before my license was put in jeopardy. There is a reason multiple locations are closed - this one should as well. An ex-medical director once wrote, "it's a hotel, not a clinical facility". What hotel is he/she referring to? I'd never let or force my children, or elderly adult, go to a hotel

Absolutely awful. I was a patient here a little while ago. When I was there, I never received one-on-one treatment. My father could never get ahold of SBC. The food is absolutely terrible. We woke up one morning to one french toast and one sausage. I had bad anxiety, and every day there was a fight, if not more than one. I ended up fighting because I was attacked several times. I stayed there for four times the 'average' stay, and I had decent behavior. I'm now behind in school, even though SBC said they would excuse me. Every other day, the females went crazy. They're out of control. I'm failing

So far my child has only been to this facility once. I have not been pleased with the amount of communication given. Other treatment centers we have experienced have doctors and therapist filling us in regularly with the progress of our child and giving us updates. I've called many times only to have the call dropped. I've left messages that go days without being returned. I'm sure they are busy... that is a statewide issue. But we need better communication.

I don't normally like to talk down on anything or any body, place. But this is I fill in my heart it is needed. My daughter was here back in July 4 2021 for 2 weeks. Please do not send your child here. There under staff some staff were nice some you could tale didn't want to be there. Bottom line I feel it was a high price daycare. $$$24,000 for 2 weeks for the kids to color and draw. Also if we wouldn't of push it she wouldn't got out of there when she did.
Bottom line it needs to close if they can't support their staff and give them the tools they need to treat these kids. and clean up the mold

If I could give less than one star I would. I have worked at this facility and I can say with confidence and passion do not send your children here. By any means do not! This is an abusive and mostly neglectful facility. Children sit around all day with little to no therapeutic outlet and are assaulted by their peers. They’re not provided hygiene products or adequate medical attention. I have never left a google review in my life much less for a place I previously worked, but this is important to me. There are so many more facilities please don’t choose this one!

This place does not have the patient's best interest in mind. They are neglectful and fail to provide hygiene products, therapeutic outlets, protection, and adequate safety measures. This place should not be considered a therapeutic facility. They are unorganized and unsanitary. Please do not send your children here, it is not somewhere where your child will progress in any treatment.

If I could give zero or negative I would. Please do not allow your children to attend this facility. There are some very good staff members, however the bad ones are really bad. I am writing this as a RN for 32 years and a caregiver. There are forms of control, abuse and neglect. abuse in the form of keeping the patient from speaking to their contacts. Abuse as being threatened with longer time if you voice an opinion different from the bad staff. Oh, and apparently they have a real shortage on pillows...as well as staff! STAY AWAY!!!

I dont know why all the reviews are bad, i guess it depends on what unit you were on. My experience was very good. Im very mentally ill and have been hospitalized 5 times. Ive been to old vineyard, brynn marr twice, holly hill, and here. I stopped getting hospitalized after going here. It helped me so much. They dont have individual therapy but the doctor really cares about you and makes sure you’re safe to go home. They ask your guardian before giving you any shots or medications, it was really good. Im on the right meds now and im stable. I was given helpful tips in group therapy, and rec therapy

Recently I had discharged about a week ago after being admitted. At the start of entering I truly was excited to start my journey of improving and getting better. The staff was alright, there were incredibly short staffed and many of them were inconsiderate. The only thing that kept me sane was the good staff members which was rare. The food was god awful, many of the girls and guys in my hall found hair in their food and many refused to eat. We got lucky if we had good staff with us and we got really lucky if they found one snack for the day. Throughout the day we stayed on the couches and did

I was a patient here for about two weeks about 4 years ago. Some of the worst two weeks of my life. The food was terrible and the guards didn't treat us like kids they treated us like convicts. Kids with mental health issues would be mixed with kids who ran away or ones who had violent outbursts. I was there on mental health issues and I was roomed with a violent person who was two years older than me. The "therapists" would put the blame on you whenever you talked about your problems. The beds were hard to sleep on and you barely got rec time. The only thing that kept me sane in there was writing

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. as a 14 year old girl who got checked in for depression and suicidal thoughts and actions this is the last place i wish i would have went, i went tho this place hoping for help and safety and i did not feel that at all. first off if you're hoping for a loving and caring staff trust me that's not what you're going to get. the staff was rude, short and it felt like they didn't care. they were loud in the halls at night while we were trying to get good sleep, and while they were supposed to be checking on us they were asleep in the doorframe

This place is terrible. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. I was treated with utter disrespect and neglect while on the acute unit. Billing was terrible, and I had to fight to get out of this place and into another, more competent treatment center. Strategic offered NO therapy, we just sat in the same room all day watching movies. I got more depressed and upset every minute I was there. I was there over Christmas 2015, and the staff had absolutely no empathy to the fact that I was 13, hours away from home, and incredibly mentally ill. I felt like I was mistreated because of my race and
