My family stayed in the cabin while my husband and I stayed in our trailer at a site. Michelle, the manager, was very polite and helpful with all communication. The cabin is perfect for the price, the beach was clean and safe for my grandchildren. We even saw five swans on the lake. The rec room and bathrooms were clean.
That being said, our campsite was quite a different story. We were squished between two campers, with drinking and partying going on until two a.m. If you go for the reasonably priced cottage, it is quiet and all the surrounding campers are nice. The tent sites looked quiet, although

Wonderful stay last year for the 4th of July! We stayed in the cabin while other options are tent camping or RV. We had brought our own inflatables to lounge on the lake and had also used the campground's kayaks to get some exercise.

The day of the 4th, the campground had hosted a picnic with fireworks afterwards - something you don't want to miss! It really feels like a community enjoying the company of other campers for the holiday.

The facilities are very clean with snack and games available. We spent afternoons playing table tennis in the community area and horseshoes on the beach

I thought this place was great but my fiance...not so much. If you are tent camping your only option for set up is right next to a swamp. Just warning anyone out there who may have an adversion to swamp smells and croaking frogs. My fiiance had a problem with it. She gagged every morning and couldn't eat.
So if you don't like having a swamp at your back door I would suggest somewhere else. If it doesn't bother you then this is a pretty cool place. They have a cool little lake and great amenities. The new club house has foos ball, ping pong, air and air hockey. They also have a nice little tv area

Friendly staff. Facilities generally well kept. Old campground and it shows. Smallest site we have ever seen. Bringing Firewood forbidden unless your a seasonal? 5.00 for 6 small pieces of wood prevented us from enjoying a fire. Our site smelled bad the whole time there. Not sure if it was a sewer issue or what. We left early in our stay and have no desire to return.

This was an awful campground. It should shut the tent camping "field" down. We were in a wide open field right by the trash and had to park and carry our stuff through the fence to get to our site. The seasonal camper were nothing but rude about the speed limit and tought my more children swear words then I would have ever liked.

Looking to escape the noise and bustle of State Park campgrounds? If you don't mind a minimum of service to go with your solitude, you'll fit in here. I arrived by bike - if you go here, that statement will impress the hell outta you - along the mostly unimproved roads (though the one right outside the park is paved) and camped by tent. There was firewood for sale, and drinks & ice, and ice cream treats, but no real food (Stop at the Little Store up in nearby Fennville before hand: it's great!) The owners are friendly - even delivered firewood - and I had a decent tent spot

We stayed here the weekend after Labor Day and the Owners were having a Pig Roast with the Seasonal Campers and invited everyone else camping that weekend. It was a great time. Nice owners, seasonal campers, camp area, bathrooms, laundry, beach, and playground area. I would definitely go back!

We have been seasonal campers at Giles for several years now and enjoy every weekend there!! The facility is always clean and the managers always ready to help make your stay there a great time. The campground has 50 sites, mostly seasonal with people you want to spend time with. The lake is beautiful and the fishing is great offering Blue Gill to Bass whatever you fishing fancy is!!! This is a very affordable campground probably the best value in West Michigan!!! Come join us in 2013!!!!
