Dutch treat Camping opened in August of 1969. It all started out with grandpa (Nelson) not liking the land being un-used. Being a recent gravel pit that was excavated for the highway while lower in the ground made it perfect for private camping. The property being a big open area with both wooded and sand lots.
We worked it to have 2 ponds one for fishing and one for swimming. In 1975 we filled in the swimming pond, and also added our first full hook up. In August of 1975 we added the current pool. The camp has progressed into a popular family destination. Our two daughters Darlene and Linda, run it. Our 3 boys come to help out when needed.

Although this park won't go down as one of the fanciest places we have been, it appears to be a great family park. There are a lot of large groups/families gathered together enjoying the camping experience all day long and well into the evening. There is a pool and a pond on the property that the kids flock to. There are full hookups here with grass/gravel lots. There is no cable TV but you can get plenty of channels over the air. A busy park with adults and kids.

I have camped here more than 50 times in my short lifetime and somehow even though its close to home I still end up finding myself there quite frequently! A great family friendly environment, close to beautiful Huizinga Park and Holland State Park Beach. Many restaurants are nearby as well. The pool is nice, good walking and biking nearby. Playground could use some TLC/upgrades, but the management and owners have always been so friendly and awesome at their jobs!
