People who are depressed are more prone to illnesses like colds than non-depressed people. Continuous exposure to violence, neglect, abuse, or poverty may make people who are already susceptible to depression all the more vulnerable to the illness. Depression affects all people regardless of age, geographic location, demographic, or social position.

I have been enrolled in Lone Star Behavioral Health for the past 7 months, and I can say it is one of the best outpatient programs that is available. From the techs to the administrative level, everyone is there to help you and to help your progression. I have had the privilege of interacting with great therapist in the program. They not only teach you skills and coping mechanisms to help you deal with your problem, but they are also open to lesson ideas, and teach in a way that everyone can take something away from each day.I would highly recommend Lone Star Behavioral Health to anyone who is

I spent 8 days at Lone Star Behavior Health as a patient and had a wonderful experience. The staff did an amazing job. The leadership team genuinely operates the facility from the standpoint of helping people and that is such a rare thing to find in society today. The counselors were all very nice and went above and beyond to help me with any issues that I had. If you are looking for a place that is truly in the business of helping people, then I highly recommend this facility.

I am currently a paitent here and have been since December 2018 & the Doctor's are really a caring bunch that are not here just to give you a prescription and send you out the door they actually diagnose the symptoms and emotional disorders you having and then prescribe you medicines needed for that. The Therapists actually have and go to great lengths to help the patients with different methods, my therapist is both trained in counseling & religion so it's great that she brings both to the classroom & I also have 1 on 1 sessions once a week & I Also see my main therapist on a daily basis in at

The staff is the best you will get from any psychiatric hospital and Dr. Maxwell DEFINITELY knows what she's doing. My anxiety decreased dramatically whenever I adhered to her suggestions. Though this wasn't the proper hospital for my primary diagnosis (limbic encephalitis and PANDAS), Maxwell took that into consideration and even offered me to leave early since she was not trained to aid in those diagnosis. However, anxiety is definitely an issue I face and I owe a lot to her for helping me with that. Lonestar, thank you for your patience and aid.
