Darling & Fischer Mortuaries was founded in 1931 by Rev. Roger Darling, with Darling Funeral Home on the corner of 10th and Santa Clara Streets in San Jose, California. Clyde Fischer purchased the funeral home from Rev. Darling, and Darling Funeral Home became Darling & Fischer Garden Chapel. Clyde was an active member of the community, serving as mayor of San Jose from 1932-1937 and on the city council in the 1960s.
He lived in Tracy, CA for the past 22 years. Henry passed away from a massive heart attack. He is survived by his wife Mylene Nolasco Alexander of the Philippines, children Mark Carlo of the Philippines, Donna. She was surrounded by her sons and a daughter-in-law. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thung Ngoc Pham, her six sons - Linh, Luan, Dzung, Tuong, Phuc and Khanh, and eight grandchildren.

I really was amazed at how caring this whole team is at Darling and Fischer. They walk you through the whole maze of decisions. They were very respectful at the mass and burial site .My daughter handled most of the requests by me and she too said the team were very helpful and they helped us get my husband buried a week after he died. It was important to us since Christmas was 2 weeks from his day of death.

In the most difficult time the staff at Darling & Fischer were wonderful. They walked us through what we needed for my brother’s funeral. On the day of, the staff was very attentive and welcoming to all our family and friends. I highly recommend them should you need a place of peace for you and your loved one.

I was left speechless with the attentiveness, thoroughness, and empathy everyone who I interacted with showed. In difficult times such as my father's passing so suddenly, I did not have the mental space to coordinate anything for his viewing, so for Darling & Fischer to take over all the logistical preparations, I was truly impressed and thankful.

So yes we had a wonderful experience with Darling Fischer. My father passed away earlier this month, and they were so compassionate and loving take me every step on how to make arrangements. I strongly advise anyone was lost a love one to bring them here show much love and compassion in the ways they set up everything, we were truly blessed to pick this facility to say goodbye to my father,vanna And Lorraine were so wonderful to us. It was a beautiful experience.

The staff was really helpful, emphatic, and professional. They won’t take advantage of the situation where you feel lost, sad, and grieving. They would suggest cost effective options that you won’t have to pay more. During the day of service, all staff are professional and are understanding of what you’re undergoing through.

Although our mother’s funeral services were in middle of a pandemic, the D&F team did their best to help us do the best we can to take our mother on her last journey. In particular, Vanna went out of her way to ask other clients for help to move everyone’s schedule a little so we can have our preferred visitation times at D&F to make it to our service mass can go as planned. The team was quick to transfer our mother’s body to the funeral home and made sure she was handled appropriately and on time. Our services and visitations were scheduled to be complete within 1 week of mom’s death as

The service they have given for my sister was exceptional. They are very supportive to all our needs and requests. The processing of the documents for the remains of my sister to be brought to the Philippines was fast and smooth. I did not have any problem and the two days viewing they facilitated was excellent, everything ready when we got there.
In this time where there are a lot of limitations still Darling and Fischer Garden Chapel did an excellent service. Staff very friendly, supportive and really a relief for the family who are grieving.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Vanna, Lorraine, Elizabeth and their extraordinary team at Darling & Fischer Garden Chapel. Vanna assisted me with the services for my 96 year old Father and I can definitely say I have never met such a gracious and kind person. She was patient when we discussed plan options and showed so much compassion, I felt like I had known her my entire life. She made a very difficult time in my life more bearable. The day of the services, Vanna was the first person there to greet me and take me to my Father. Vanna then introduced me to a lovely lady named Lorraine
