In the absolute worst time of my life, Chapel of the Angels really came through for me and were spectacular and helped me navigate everything I needed to in terms of my dad, in terms of the celebration, and really in terms of my family because this for us was more than just losing my dad. Our whole lives just completely changed.
For families choosing cremation, it's important for you to know we offer only the highest level of care for your loved one. We own and operate our own crematory with licensed and certified staff. Many other funeral homes hire third party crematories. These often have multiple funeral homes transferring remains in and out at any given time.
We are family-owned and operated and our professional staff holds fast to the tradition of our forefathers while maintaining a keen awareness of the ever-changing needs and desires of our community. I mostly worked with Sam in getting a funeral service and cremation arranged for my grandma. I've never been to a funeral and had a lot of questions about getting the affairs in order. I called the chapel before sunrise the day of my late grandma's passing and Sam patiently answered all of my questions and assured me everything would be okay.
Sam was able to help with everything from transporting my late grandmother from New Jersey to California, to obtaining permits and death certificates.
As we are in a pandemic, they took all the necessary steps to protect our family. The garden hall is beautiful

We recently had a Celebration of Life for my father-in-law, they were extremely attentive and accommodating, they made sure we had everything we needed to have a good service. They were knowledgeable about other burial services. They had enough staff on hand, place was clean, and they are affordable. Highly recommend.

Sam was a god sent angel in our lowest of low moments and we had no idea how a funeral was to be conducted, with the added challenge of Covid. Sam was there day and night, to help answer questions, and arrange for all things asked by us to make sure that we were well cared for. Sam's calm and every helping demeanor automatically gave us strength and hope for what seems a long road ahead.

My dad passed away and hosted by the Berge-Pappas-Smith on March 28th and 29th of 2019. The overall experience was excellent and smooth transitions from the owner Kevin Smith to staffers; Becky Cummins, Sam Smith, Fabian and Ariel were obsolutely going above and beyond their duties to guide and provided our family needs during the difficult time. The staffs ensured to support us all the details to make our family and guests as comfortable as possible. The garden hall just well maintained and peacefulness for viewing service.

Kevin, Dan, and the entire staff at Berge-Pappas-Smith took great care of my mom who recently passed away. They were very professional and courteous - my family could have asked for a better place to take care of my mom! I made an appointment before bringing the family in. We waited over an hour before they placed us into a room. The funeral director disappeared and 20 minutes later I questioned the receptionist as to where the funeral director went and they told our family to wait another 20 minutes, as he had gone to lunch. In such a difficult time you really think they would understand, and been given an appointment I was utterly shocked at their service. We had such a horrible experience and I would not recommend this place when you're going through something so hard. They may be less costly but their service
