My photography journey really started when I had my own kids. I couldn't take enough pictures of them. As I got more involved in my own personal photography, I decided to pursue it professionally. I started Laura Janicek Photography out of my house in 2013. In 2016 I moved in to my first commercial studio and in 2021, I moved into the studio you see above.
Laura Janicek Photography is located just minutes from Nashville in beautiful Brentwood, Tennessee. My studio has everything we need to create beautiful portraits of your pregnancy, your baby and your family. It is filled with natural light to create clean, fresh looks that you'll enjoy for years to come.
The gowns used in these pictures are just some of the dresses I have available at the studio. The studio wardrobe is always available for use during your session. Newborn pictures are best taken in the first 5-14 days of life. In these early days, baby is still sleepy and curly and is more willing to cooperate for the variety of poses you see here.
There's nothing more exciting than preparing for the birth of your child. Pregnancy is an amazing and beautiful transformation, but it's not without it's challenges (hello, morning sickness, swollen ankles and sleepless nights). The best time to photograph your pregnancy is typically between 32-36 weeks.
That new baby smell, soft fresh skin and the sweetness of their little toes and perfect lips. There's nothing more exciting or more rewarding than becoming a parent and cherishing all of the little details of your brand-new baby. My newborn sessions provide the perfect opportunity to relax and take in these precious, fleeting moments.

We hired Laura for a newborn session and we had an amazing experience with her! She went absolutely above and beyond to ensure she captured all of the poses/photos that we wanted and was extremely patient with our very fussy baby. She also went out of her way to ensure my husband and I felt comfortable and at ease the entire session as we struggled to get our little guy to fall asleep for the photos. I would absolutely recommend her and definitely plan to use her for our future newborn photos as well!

Laura is an amazing photographer and captured some of my babies' most memorable moments. She photographs newborns with such ease and comfort. I have used her for 3 children now (my daughter and twins) and cherish all our photos. She has perfected the swaddling of a precious newborn and the monthly milestone pictures have been incredible as well. Laura's personality helps make the photo session relaxing, which is especially important right after having a baby. Highly recommend!

Laura was so wonderful to work with! We hired her for our newborn photos and could not be happier! Laura was very responsive along the way and provided us with super quick responses to all of our emails. Once we decided to book, she sent us extremely detailed instructions on how to ensure our newborn was ready for her photo shoot. This was very helpful! We received the edited photos within two weeks of the shoot and they are AMAZING!! We will absolutely be using Laura again for all of our little ones milestones :)

Laura captured the most beautiful breathtaking photos of my newborn. She communicated with me promptly and had all of my edited images back to be me in a timely manner. I will be using her again for our smash cake photos. I cannot recommend anyone better than her for newborn or children photography!

We had our newborn pictures taken with Laura. They are absolutely beautiful to say the least! Laura was prompt in email response and was really easy to work with. Our session went flawlessly and we had a ton of options to choose from when deciding on our final pictures. We will definitely be using her in the future. Laura did my maternity photos and my newborn photos. Even though it was over an hour drive, I would not have gone to anyone else. he is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable and confident during the session. The pictures came out fantastic. I felt very comfortable with her handling our sweet girl when she was only 7 days old! She got our photos to us in a timely manner which I really appreciated. S 10/10 would recommend her to anyone.
