So I am leaving this review only for the gentleman that helped me, Alex. Eric, the owner, has poor communication and underqoutes customers.
Moving forward - Alex had very clear communication about my expectations from the very beginning. He called me when he was done, he was polite and helpful. Short summary: These are the best mechanics for any of the auto glass, sunroofs, and upholstery needs one might have. I had a malfunction of the sunroof that would not allow it to close. An assessment by other mechanics was confirmed by the excellent mechanics at Genesis. A cable was broken and several pieces of the rubber glide paths were beyond repair and/or missing. They quoted a reasonable price - well in line with other estimates. They ordered the parts and when those parts came in they called and scheduled a quick time convenient for me to bring the car in. They completed the repair

We stopped by this place today to get some info and a quote for upholstery for our car. When we stepped in the office the person acted like we interrupted him and the entire time we were there it seemed he was annoyed to include when we asked him to look at our car's interior. It is clear that they don't care about costumer service. Not going back!!!

When I discovered a crack in my windshield, i first checked with Safelite, as I've seen their commercials. They quoted me a certain price. I checked with a mechanic friend who owns a small business to see if he knew of a small business who replaces windshields. He did. He referred me to Erick and the guys at Genesis. Upon letting Erick know what I needed, he gave me a quote substantially lower than Safelite. About 20% lower. I had him order it for me (after providing a deposit). I've been using Genesis for years now. I used to own a used car dealership in the area and my shop manager and technicians all told me Genesis was the best in the bay area for interior repairs and reupholstery work. I also have used them to tint the windows on my boat, my personal Range Rover and my old Chevrolet S-10. I also and just had them do a full frontend clear bra on my new Range Rover as well.
Their work is top-notch and pricing is always very fair. I could not recommend them enough!

A piece in my hard top convertible roof broke off. Small piece of plastic, but it made opening and closing the roof very difficult. Should be an easy fix I thought. Tried an auto body shop and they couldn't do it. Went the the place where I usually get the car serviced. They suggested the dealership, and this place. The dealership said they couldn't replace just that piece, and the entire fabric that lines the underside of the roof needed to be replaced. The cost was so shocking it was laughable. Like half the value of the whole car.

We brought our RV here for a windshield replacement, per our insurance carrier and it was the WORST experience. They were not equipped to handle this type of replacement, they had very limited parking (thankfully we arranged to bring the RV in after business hours the night before our appointment or we wouldn't have been able to park. They started working on our windshield at 9am and had only finished half by 5pm. We stopped by around 12 noon and saw they were struggling with the first half of the replacement which made us uneasy, but they assured us it would be done same day, if not the next

Horrible service and installation. I have a 2013 jeep grand cherokee and was quoted $320 to install a windshield. They came to my home, and installed the windshield, however the plastic/rubber molding at the bottom was stretched out from the installation and did not seal correctly, and the clips were broken on the sides.
I reported this to the manager that answers the phone. He sent the repair guy back. The repair guy said "oh, that's normal, it will shrink back and fit once the sun heats it up." He then also said I needed to replace the side pieces where the clips were broken

Wow, what a great service! After looking near where I live and no one seemed to repair sunroofs, almost giving up, Yelp to the rescue! Found this gem in Walnut Creek. Erick who helped us, said he could repair it. I'm assuming it would take a couple weeks to order parts etc, since the whole sunroof came off, and the liner inside. Not only did he say he had parts, we took it to him and he had it done in less than two hours! Amazing! And for a responsible price. Please look no further if you need sunroof repairs done. Ours look brand new now, so happy!!!

I've had random challenges with both of my rear passenger windows on my 2002 Nissan Xterra. Sometimes they would roll up and sometimes not all the way up. I brought it into Genesis to have them figure out what the problems could be and they discovered that both regulators were bad and needed replacement. They replaced them both and they work great. It's wonderful to have them working again so smoothly after so long without.

I had a cracked windshield that needed replacing and I am very satisfied with the service I received bat Genesis. I unfortunately hit a ton of traffic on my way to my scheduled appointment, but the guys fortunately were still able to replace my windshield. They were very professional and speedy. I am not sure where to start.
I have took my car to them because my Insurance set me up with them to replace my Windshield.
To start I get there at 11:15 and the guy said he is not going to work on it until 12, since he wants to go eat Lunch, so I said that's fine, then he said it would be done in 2 hours so I got an Uber home and came back at 237 to pick it up and he was still working on it. then I noticed lots of Black heusive glue on the hood of my car so I asked the guy to clean it up and he said it was there. I showed him the Recipt of the car wash that was done before my appointment

Worst shop!!!! If I could I would give them no stars. To start off, I called last Monday to schedule an appointment for a sunroof installation I got scheduled for Saturday at 9am. Got there at 8am. They started to work on my truck around 9:40am. They had told me they would be done in 3-4hrs. I was there from 8am to 5pm!!!! And they didn't even finish the sunroof installation because they had cut the headliner panel wrong. I told the owner that I wanted them to replace the headliner because they ruined it. I had a windshield replaced and was referred to Genesis by my insurance company. When on the phone with Genesis at the initial contact time I asked them if they would waive the $100 deductible and they said that they would.
