Swedish Auto Service
There are plenty of reasons drivers choose luxury cars. From superior performance to improved reliability and interior comforts & amenities, drivers know what to expect from their car every time they get behind the wheel. Preserving those features & that experience requires a commitment to maintenance & your car's designed service schedule.

At Swedish Auto Service we're committed to working with you to make sure your car always gets the high quality service it needs. Located in Austin, we've proudly helped drivers take better care of their cars since we first opened back in 1993. Let's face it, taking your car to the dealership can be a hassle.
Services
Taking care of a luxury car requires a commitment to service, making sure your car always gets the service it needs to perform at the level you expect and preserve the features you count on daily. But quality of service is just as important as the service itself, making it critical that you trust your mechanics with everything your car needs.
Built to last without sacrificing performance & interior comforts, Volvo vehicles have remained known for their quality over the decades. Volvo has also continued to improve & advance with each new model, building vehicles that suit any driver. With cars known for their reliability & durability, annual maintenance is key to preserving those features to make sure you aren't spending more than needed to take care of your car.
While not as common as other luxury cars, Saab vehicles still have plenty of devoted fans who swear by their comfort, performance, & durability even as the miles add up. Since Saab actually ceased production years back, it's getting harder for drivers to find mechanics that they can trust to take proper care of their car and provide the proper service it needs.
Renowned for their performance innovations & unmatched interior comforts & amenities, it's clear why BMW vehicles have remained so popular for decades. Drivers know exactly what to expect every time they get behind the wheel and preserving that experience requires commitment & dedication to maintaining your specific model.
Combining high-quality performance with interior comforts, Infiniti vehicles offer drivers a luxury car without the steep luxury price tag. When it comes to maintaining your car, sticking with annual maintenance is a great way to make sure you aren't stuck overpaying for services or dealing with long-term performance issues.

I always have a positive experience when the technicians at Swedish Auto Service work on my car. Though I no longer have my Saab, I feel comfortable having them work on my Volkswagen. They’re very accommodating and knowledgeable. My car is running very well. Thanks so much!

Penga is always truthful and when possible gives options for the repairs needed. It's easier to make decisions when he gives me the pricing of my options. He's a nice guy who is professional and relatable. My husband found this place for our older Volvo and even though he has passed away I will continue to come here because of the service I have been given.

As a young woman, it is hard to find an auto shop that I know will treat me fairly and with respect. I had a great experience with Swedish Auto, they were fast and straight forward about the repairs needed. When I brought in my vehicle, they contacted me with updates about parts etc. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic in North Austin.

Great shop. They took care of a Saab I had years ago. Took a newer Volvo there for regular maintenance for the first time recently. Very professional and accommodating.

I found Pega to be personable and straightforward about pricing. He offered a lower-priced, used rim for my Volvo that would take a few days to get in, but since I needed to travel sooner, we settled on the new, pricier rim which could be acquired more quickly. Will DEFINITELY return for service in future!

I have been going to Swedish Auto Service for almost 20 years. Right now I take my Lexus and my Volvo there. They have always been amazing, and now that they are doing more than just Volvos and Saabs, I use them for all my cars.
So how do you know a good repair shop from a bad one? A good repair shop is one that focuses on fixing the problem you have by diagnosing it correctly. My Lexus was making some noise. They took it out, listened to the sound, came back into the shop, replaced some parts on the passenger side, and rather than just assuming it was fixed, drove it again and noticed that the

These guys are awesome. I would not trust my car with anyone else. I called as I was driving to their shop. Soon as I pulling the front of the build two of the workers came out the door and straight to my car. I had no worries because I knew they would take care my car as always. These guys are great! I have no complaints. I get great customer service everything time I'm there.

Drop off was quick and easy. I mostly knew the issue and drop off was easy with an apointment and the repair was done in a timely manner. Pricing was much more fair than the dealer would have been. And the dealer always takes forever. I see my self using this shop again.

Great experience! Will definitely be returning! I own a Volvo and have been happy going to the dealership, but service appointments lately need to be booked more than a month in advance. Swedish auto got me in the same day WITH a loaner car and performed the same service for a better price.

Don’t hesitate to bring your Volvo to Swedish Auto! They’ve taken care of my s60 for about 3+ years now and it’s always a very pleasant experience. They provide top level services/repairs for great prices, have high attention to detail, don’t leave any markings in your interior (can’t even begin to explain how many other shops have left oily marks while getting in and out of my car) and will go above and beyond your expectations. Thanks for taking care of my Paula 🤩

My car had some issues and we were told by another auto shop that we were going to need a specific part replaced that would cost a TON! Luckily we went to Swedish auto to get a second opinion and sure enough.... it was A LOT more affordable than the other shop and they did an amazing job!

Thanks Swedish Auto for taking care of us and saving us some money in the process!!! I'll definitely be reffing people over to you!

Cannot say enough great things about the team at Swedish auto service. I've had my S60 serviced there for 4 years and always experienced exceptional service. I experienced family emergency today requiring me to drive 13 hours tomorrow. The guys got me in with no problem, did a complete service and ensured my car was safe and sound did my long trip tomorrow. Thank you Cameron and team!!

They pretty much open whenever they feel like it. I called on Wednesday and Thursday to ask what time I can bring in my Volvo for my mileage maintaince on a Friday. Both times, the guy said to bring it by at 8AM. I figure, sure no problem. I double-check the website to make sure this place was open (website says 7:30AM is when they open) so I bring it by around 8:15AM. The place was still not open yet and a gentleman was also sitting in his car waiting for it to open. After about an hour of just sitting and waiting for someone to get there to open, I had to get going as I was already late for work

Follow up to my previous review below:

I went back in to have a follow up inspection done on a repair I had previously paid for (at the request of the shop to ensure the work done was still good) and was refused service because of my review. Refused to check their own work that I paid almost a grand for!

I find it comical that the owner can reply to other reviews yet cannot reply or return my call.

Furthermore, the shop service writer has got to be the most unprofessional individual I've ever met at a shop. Keep in mind, in my previous profession I strictly dealt with auto repair shops

Swedish Auto is the only place I trust with my Saab! I've been going there for years. They are super nice and are great at communicating the status of your repairs.

This is the fairest automotive repair facility in Austin. Each instance I had service, the work to be done was always straight forwardly explained. I was given options and explained the pros and cons of each choice. The work was always done on time and at the price quoted. I never received calls with 'additional things that came up' during the repairs, adding to the bill. They are friendly and courteous and I would highly recommend these folks for your Volvo or Saab.

Brought it in for a check engine light that my car had... I can't remember what they thought was the problem, they replaced it, cost us money, and the engine light still kept coming on. Brought it to the dealership and they found it out right away that it was the breather box malfunctioning. I'll give them a benefit of the doubt tho and give them 2 instead of a 1 star because other places were having trouble figuring out the problem as well.

I have been trusting the care of my 2013 Volvo XC60 to the Swedish Auto Services team since moving to Austin a couple of years ago. I am able to get on their schedule quickly and am always satisfied with the service I receive. I don't believe the charges have ever exceeded the estimate that I was presented with prior to the commencement of work. I would recommend Swedish Auto Services to anyone ... even my Mom!

Customers beware. We brought our older Sabb in for a strange sound. The mechanic TOTALED the car on the test drive. The other person in the accident did not have insurance much less a drivers license so our insurance had to pay. We have a $1000 deductible that WE had to pay and our insurance went up. The owners of Swedish Auto would not help at all. The car could not be replaced. We loose all around.

In response to the response below- The reason I have not responded is because the yelp app is not something I check all the time. Yes, it happened a few years ago. We are still upset. I can see if

Ok - new to town, have a slow cranking 1989 Volvo. I do some digging around online, and this place seems like it might be the right one.

I make an appointment, show up and ask that they test my battery to make sure it is good because my car is hard starting. They say they tested the battery and it held a load, but that it was my fuel intake valve that was bad. 200$ later my car is still running like crap and starting hard.

I take it back the next day and have them look at it again - this time it is my fuel sensor that is bad. 180$ later my car is still running crappy and not starting sometimes
