Amy grew up in Los Angeles, California, and earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 1999. During law school, Amy worked in the Juvenile Dependency Court System.
After being admitted to the California State Bar, Amy continued her work in the Juvenile Dependency Court System and represented parents and children dealing with issues such as physical, sexual and drug abuse, neglect and domestic violence.Although emotionally challenging, Amy took great satisfaction working with families and especially representing and protecting the best interests of the children.
