The more than 90 practices and over 300 providers of UNC Physicians Network are providing a full range of primary care and specialty services to people in 14 counties throughout North Carolina. Through operational support that helps each practice provide complete care to patients, UNCPN makes the expertise and empathy of the UNC Health Care system available to more of North Carolina.

UNC Physicians Network (UNCPN) includes primary care physicians, as well as physicians in a wide range of specialties and sub-specialties. Being part of UNCPN means a partnership with the UNC Health Care System. Our approach to health care is forward thinking and provides not only the stability of a strong network, but also continued autonomy.
Enrollment is now open for North Carolinians on Medicaid to select their plan and primary care provider. Please make sure to sign up for a plan that uses UNC Health and select your UNC primary care family doctor. Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about NC Medicaid Managed Care. You will receive statements each billing cycle-one for hospital charges and one for physician charges.

After several years of going hear UNC changed networks and became out of network with our provider. Not a problem but they never notified us of this change and continued to allow us to receive care at their pediatricians office. Six months later after this happened we got a bill for $3000. When we investigated what was going on they told us that they had in their system that they told us we were out of network, which they never did. They also pulled tests that were not covered without our consent and which resulted in an additional $500 fee that we could not resolve. We had to make 11 calls to
