The hotel was up to date, friendly, warm, inviting and the staff was amazing. I was there for a conference and from the view from my room to the food, service and ease to get around, I enjoyed every bit of my time there. Will definitely be back with my hubby! Next time, the corner suite overlooking the ocean!

The place is a dump! It is not clean, there is no maid service, you have to put your dirty towels and your own garbage and your own recyclables out side of your door and they will leave you new towels Only!!! The pool is extremely small, and filled with kids constantly. You can’t take lounge chairs on the beach only regular upright chairs !! There is a washer and dryer on the premise but it is extremely difficult to figure out how to use it. . The keys to your door are extremely difficult to open, as the door knobs and the key holes are extremely rusted and corroded from the salt from the ocean

They are in the midst if a red tide crisis in the gulf beaches and diplomat resort refuses to refund my deposit for my stay this week. I was just at clearwater beach this past weekend and there were dead fish everywhere and the red tide conditions in the water were making me cough and my eyes burn. From what diplomat is saying, sounds like conditions are similar over there at longboat key but they still wont refund. Very poor customer service, especially for something like this thats beyond the my control.
