A Kansas native who played three sports in high school, Derek received his Associate's degree at Barton County Community College where he was an athletic trainer. He continued his education at Fort Hays State University getting a Bachelor's in Physical Education with emphasis in Health Promotion & Wellness.

My husband had trained with Derek for over a year when I decided it was time for me to get with it. In just 5 months I’ve noticed a big change in strength and flexibility. I’ve worked for hours in my garden this Spring and my back doesn’t ache! Im so much stronger- plus I just feel better. Derek knows what he’s doing and he’s fun to work with. Highly recommend.

Great trainer. In just 3 months lost 26 lbs, 22 inches and 4.5% body fat. AND was able to stop taking meds for high blood pressure!
