Anchors and Ink Tattoo Studio and School combines the talents of local Bend tattoo artists in a clean and modern studio overlooking downtown. Owner Kris Brown began renovating the space early in 2017 and has created an incredible, open space. Kris "KJ" Brown has been tattooing since 2009. A certified Oregon tattoo artist, KJ apprenticed with Hawk Chait at 932 Tattoo. Since that time, KJ has gained a wealth of experience, which led him to opening Anchors and Ink Tattoo Studio and School in downtown Bend, Oregon. As the Director of the Oregon tattoo school at Anchors and Ink, KJ helps talented artists develop their skills and become licensed and certified tattoo professionals.

Walked in to schedule a consultation, waited patiently for 10-15 min with multiple people walking by and ignoring me. Felt like I was not welcomed. So I ended up leaving after 20 min of standing around and STILL not helped or acknowledged. Very disappointed on how unprofessional it was.

I was a student at the tattoo school and it was a very poor experience. The owner did not take the time to ensure his students were ready to tattoo. I also wasn’t allowed to finish all the tattoo procedures I needed to graduate (required by law). Seems like a 10,000$ scam to me. Very unprofessional studio.

I bought a gift card for my sister and she just received a simple tattoo by an artist named Kat. The lines are horrid very low quality work with many mistakes. I feel bad that I ever purchased a gift card for someone else at a place like this. So disappointed that 100 dollars were thrown away for bad craftsmanship. Artist should be ashamed.

Everyone here was so nice to me. I was recommended to come here by another local tattoo artist to get an older tattoo of mine fixed. It's amazing how just an outline gave it so much definition! Ryan fixed my tattoo. He did an amazing job and was delightful company. I wish I could give more stars than 5!
