Tattoo artist Scott Berg has been guest spotting at Monolilth Tattoo Studio for years and we finally have him on staff full-time in Bend. Scott moved to Bend from Portland, Oregon, where he was a tattoo artist at Sixteenth Street Tattoo. He specializes in blackwork tattoos with an abstract twist and selectively takes on color projects.
Michaela Estrada brings a feminine, illustrative style to the Monolith Tattoo Studio team of talented artists. She specializes in blackwork and greyscale pieces and loves doing small, detailed tattoos. We're pleased to welcome Michaela to the family at Monolith Tattoo Studio. I really enjoy illustrative black and grey pieces and have begun dipping my toes into more realistically inclined pieces.
Bear Patton specializes in fine line tattooing in a wide range of subjects including abstract people, animals and landscapes. My tattoo artist, Heather, was over an hour late the first visit. Then she rescheduled my 4 hour finishing work on me three times. No apologies. Contacted the manager at Monolith who made excuses and lied about contacting the owner. They charge $50 if a customer cancel but apparently don’t care if they do it to you. Horrible service.

I had the best tattooing experience at Monolith. I initially met with Edward and we talked about my design. He was completely honest with me about my selected piece and let me know the design I picked would probably not age well. So I reworked my design and scheduled my appointment. A month before my scheduled appointment I was asked if I'd like to come in and be tattooed by their guest artist David Lue and I jumped at the opportunity to get my tattoo sooner. I went in for just a consultation. I showed my printed ideas and wanted to talk about it. The man that came out to talk was rude, corrected my words when I said s*%& (it's a tattoo studio and I was trying to be casual!). I initiated the whole consult, asking him to do this or that. He never recommended anything other than making a simple tattoo that I wanted about the size of a lime, the size of my palm- stating it would lose detail (I'm aware of certain consequences but I've had three other shops say they can easily do it). I've gotten three amazing tattoos/services this year and couldn't be happier with the results or the services I received. Melanie (@melanietattoos) did an amazing job microblading and shading my brows -- this is the first time I haven't needed brow pencil in more than ten years! Michaela (@estradaxtattoo) did two amazing original pieces on my back -- great technique with flowers and so easy to work with to get the perfect size, placement, etc. Love you guys!!!!

Michaela is amazing! I came in for a consultation and she really listened to everything I wanted in a design. She pulled together things from 3 different photo ideas but she put her personal touch and spin on it. And honestly it couldn't have been more perfect. On the day I got the tattoo, she didn't mind me asking to move it like 3 times (I'm annoying and indecisive. Lol) but she was super patient and talked me through everything. I'm in loveeeeee with my tattoo. I'll for sure be back to Michaela in the future.

The truth is that the artists that work here seem amazing. I had my eyebrows done about 4 months ago by Melanie. She is a true artist and did an amazing job. I made the follow up appt for August. My mistake is that I made it so far ahead because with my busy life its hard to know my schedule this far in advance. I was in CA a couple of weeks ago when I got a text reminder about 3 days out of the appt. I have done all of my communication through text with this business. Finally got another tattoo! Monolith has a beautiful new location. The studio is amazing!
I met with Keisha several weeks ago and we discussed my idea for a floral tattoo to represent me, my children, and my grandchildren. After my vacation I returned to see Keisha and she had a beautiful rendering of my idea. After a couple of minor tweaks to the design we proceeded. WOW! I am so happy with my new ink. It only took me 5 years to get up the gumption to get it done (haha).

New to the area and looking to get a tattoo and went in today and spoke to the counter person. She stated that they may have a opening and that she would call and let me know in about 30 mins or so. It's been now 4 plus hours and never received a call, I could have went to another shop instead of waiting on a shop that doesn't value there customers or there time. This is unfortunate for them as I have a lot of ink and plans for more. There loss and another shops gain.

Ryan Osborne is an amazing artist. You bring him an idea and he will blow your mind with his rendering of it. His colors are beautiful and simply amazing. I have referred many friends his way and everyone has been beyond impressed with his work. I even had a friend come in and he was upfront with her about the popularity of the tattoo she was about to get. She didn't want to look like everyone else and was thankful he was honest with her about it.
