My truck has been in this shop for an extremely long time because the owner refuses to give it back to me so I can take it to get tires, paint and interior work done by someone else. When my boyfriend did try to bring it to me, it overheated. We should have kept it anyway because getting it back has been impossible.
The owner refuses to give me an invoice and he has nothing in writing to show me.
I have reported him to the BBB.
It was taken to him by my boyfriend because they are friends, however it's my truck, and he knows it, and he will not give it to me.

I had Jack put a lift kit on my new Rubicon. He did fantastic work, I was pleased with the aesthetics however more importantly the ride afterward. As promised he did fantastic work. I couldn't be anymore happier because of the time and dedication to this project being done right the first time. My Jeep now looks great, drives great, and I have a fantastic mechanic. I will be taking all my vehicles to Ramsower's Automotive from here on out.

I called to schedule an estimate for a routine clutch job (clutch slipping.) I was told it would be at least a week before they could look at it. When I said "never mind, it can't wait that long," I was then told they could get me in 4 (work) days later, so the appointment was scheduled for a Wednesday at 7:30 am.
I showed up right on time expecting to wait while they came up with an estimate. Nope! I was told "they don't do that" as they have no waiting room and was short a technician that morning -- I would have to leave the car. I didn't plan for that

UPDATE: Again, Ramsowers comes through with professional service with an eye to "Getting it done RIGHT the first time!" My GTO was in for her 500-mile, new-engine service and a check on a whine in the transmission. After new oil, a check on the roller-rocker adjustments and valve lash, they put a new metal filter in the transmission and, Wallah, no transmission whine. Jack still can't believe it either, haha! all good at Ramsowers!

These guys are awesome, good people. They know their stuff, and won’t charge you an arm and a leg for repairs. I’ll choose them over the dealerships anytime. As an example, they quoted me $260 for a front crank seal replacement. Orielly Chevy wanted over $900 for the replacement.

I am a recent customer. Ramsower's came recommended by a mechanic friend of the family that used to work with the owner before he bought the business, they worked together as mechanics so his recommendation carried a lot of weight with me. My daughter's 2009 Rav4 transmission went out and I wanted a second opinion and indeed it they confirmed it a bad transmission. Ramsower's changed out the transmission for +$500 less than Desert Toyota and extended Toyota's warranty to 2 years rather than 1 year. Over the last year we have had our car in for work 3 different times. On all 3 occasions Jack and his team have worked with a sense of urgency and got us out the door quickly. Have taken my vehicle and my husband's van here and they have been very reasonable - lower than we expected. Also I needed to replace a door handle on my van and had ordered the part myself, Jack Furrier's wouldn't use the part I ordered but Ramsower's had no problem with it, saved me from paying for it again at a higher rate. I've only been there maybe 3 times but have been very happy with both the work and the prices so far.

We finally found mechanics that we trust with our older vehicles. Especially knowledgeable about Ford trucks. Jack has been very fair with us. We are willing to pay for good service but on the last visit, he did not charge us after 4 days because he was unable to locate the initial problem. Going back when it happens again. Recommended by friends and we pass it on.

Our daughter's car needed some work so of course we took it to our always reliable and honest shop......? Got an estimate for over $1300 of work. Seemed high, but figured our daughter might have been hard on the car. Then my wife looked at the estimate and realized that the parts had around 100% markup, and I began to wonder what happened to Ramsowers? After learning that the great (and I mean that) Carl Ramsower had sold the shop it all began to make sense. Long story short, we took it to another garage and the work was done for around $200!!!

I loved ramsowers WHEN it was owned by Mr. Ramsower himself unfortunately it is no longer the honest establishment it once was. First of all they charged me more than the quoted price for the work second of all they told me it was imminent to take it in for another belt replacement. I called three other businesses they all quoted me less. The worse part is when I took it in to another shop for the replacement belt. He took one look and said "who told you, you needed that it still looks good". So they almost got away with replacing a part that did not need replacing. Its too bad they

Here is an update on just how meaningless the Ramsower's guarantee is. Last week my transmission went out in my van and I was left stranded 60 miles east of Yuma on I-8. The last thing Jack told my wife before he returned our van was that it would not leave us stranded. He made it a point to tell us that he would never let a vehicle leave his shop if it had the chance of leaving someone stranded. Clearly that was a worthless sentiment.

I have to second Marty J.'s comment on here. I went to Ramsower's about a year ago to check an alighment issue on my 98' Ford Windstar. They told me it was going to be $500 for just the parts and didn't recommend I do the work. They told me with a car that old it wasn't worth it.
Any mechanic that can give me a straight story about what's worth fixing or not will always get my patronage. Highly recommend this repair shop.

You won't go wrong here. Carl is honest, prompt and polite.
He generally knows what is wrong with your car after he talks to you about it in the office. He actually listens and treats you like you have a brain.
For example, my son brought him a 20 year old car and wanted the rear window defroster fixed. Carl wouldn't do it and told my son it wasn't worth the money to repair. What a great guy.
He doesn't work on European cars.
