I was taken there by ambulance after 2 days at McClaren after an intentional overdose/suicide attempt. I was severely depressed and now off my meds for 2+days and feeling it. I was talked to like I was there on some punishment, nothing caring or warm or kind...like someone might need at a very difficult time... I was brought up to the floor and shown my room and roommate. She was the only decent thing about the stay and she was crazier than me, just saying...
-I wasn't given meds until I was there for 4 days, and they only gave me 1 of my 3 different pills and it was 20mgs less than it should

This place is the WORST! U of M sent my mother here due to shortage of beds. She had no say in this. Upon arrival, she said it was extremely dirty and covid protocols were not being followed.
At night, she wasn't given any medicine or her CPAP machine. Since she has sleep apnea and asthma, she needs her machine. She was told she could not use it. Last night she had an asthma attach because of this.
Now this morning, still no medicine because they do not keep her kind in stock. If she does not get released today I will start a lawsuit. And after reading all of the horrifying reviews,I am not alone

I am being considerate with 2 stars. The only reason I am giving them 2 starts is even though this place did no help whatsoever, they have better care than some of the others in the area. I was in A3 where I just did as told. I would see others having a hard time needing help and they simply would ignore. No 1 on 1 therapy, you weren’t allowed to talk about your feelings in group settings that was over 2 minutes of time because we needed to “move on”. I kept my mouth shut and did as told and got out of there in 5 days. For the amount of money this place costs, do not waste your time here

My daughter is currently up there been there a week now the phones are constantly going out, only spoke to the doctor once still waiting to hear from her social to schedule a family meeting. My daughter is getting very anxious and it's been 3 times now the phone has gone out once the first and only time I spoke to the Dr and twice now when I was on the phone with my daughter. As much money as they are probably charging people to be there youbwould think they'd get a better phone system. Not very happy.

Nurses are nice. But this is just a place to ensure your safety only! No therapy, just some short short groups that my daughter says are 1-2 questions. The doctor spends very little time with you. My daughter said she felt more isolated here then home. She called me every day begging to leave and she went voluntarily. Once your there you cant leave until they discharge you. She said one a scale 1-10 she would rate her help there a 1

This place should be burned down. The entire staff is cruel and vile. No one in Macomb should EVER seek mental health services via the emergency room, because you could be sent here. You will leave worse than you arrived. Everyone employed here should feel ashamed. The psychiatrists shouldn't be able to sleep with what they do to people. STAY AWAY.

I felt that the staff were really amazing and including the nurses but I personally did not like the way the doctors treated not just me but other people but I’m not gonna speak for them but I asked since I was there and I was there for 14 days and didn’t get my medication that was for my muscle disorder so I was to the point I couldn’t eat or drink and and my muscle medicine is the only thing that makes me stabilized but I had to ask many people and the doctor to this is towards just the doctors the medical doctor and the psychiatrist I didn’t get the medication till like the two days

My daughter is currently a patient there. She was released from the McLaren hospital after being hit by a car she was diagnosed with a brain bleed that the Doctor felt would clear up on it's own. She called me to tell me half her face was paralyzed. I Called spoke with the Charge Nurse Dina Rude woman I explained the situation and her head injury and said it was presenting as a neurological issue why I knew this and she didn't is beyond me. They refused to do anything or call 911 for my daughter. I called McLaren and they advised me to call 911 get her to the nearest hospital for a stroke

This was by far one of the worst buildings/staff/organized treatment facilities I have ever been too. Was administratively discharged due to a vape that they did not search well enough to find. Thanks for that, here for benzos and a vape I didn't even use cost me more than they will ever know. They allowed multiple patients to nearly cry in pain without so much as a Tylenol unless you waited until 5pm for a doctors order for it. Absolute worst place I have ever had the unfortunate are pleasure of encountering.

I was here for about 10 days in 2017. I watched an elderly man in urine soaked pants slip on those pants and fall. An orderly saw and turns her back sneering- he does this to himself. When I don't see him the next day I worry. I hear someone in the men's side trying to wake him up and the same orderly tell the others that the man is being unresponsive on purpose. When I saw the old man at lunch his arm was doubled in size and purple. I saw him have difficulty walking earlier in the day. His eye was swollen and was cut and bleeding. He kept dozing off while trying to eat. I sat with him

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing on behalf of a current patient of yours, I am his medical POA and Advance Directive. He has sought help at your facility and was quite excited about it since he would be seeing Dr. Vervaeke. He was admitted on Wednesday 11/2/16 and has had problems since the date he was admitted. First off, he had an appointment, he was NOT a walk in and we had to wait for 5-6 for him to be seen which is completely unacceptable for someone who is seeking help with substance abuse and mental health. Some of the problems that have occurred are listed below:

I stayed on the adolescent ward 3 years ago it was awful don't go here unless your desperate staff don't care and are rude boys and girls are separated the wont give you water if you ask for it they tie you down for crying take off your bra and have a man watch over you let people stick there hands in your food then make you eat it you are not allowed to talk to the other patients and have to stay in your room all day the only group I had was one designed to test our patience and frustrate us and when we got frustrated they laughed in our faces and told us we were the only group to get
