The owner, James Hooper, was born in England, where he started developing his construction skills at an early age from his father, a General Building Contractor, who gave his son great insight into the building trades. From there, he attended trade school and became a Journeyman Mason/Bricklayer and worked on numerous large projects around London and other parts of Europe.
Not long after, his work brought him to Orange County. Here, JH Construction was born which quickly grew and developed into JH Custom Homes, Inc. With the help of a solid customer base, (see Testimonials) developed from working on a one-to-one basis with customers, JH Custom Homes established a reputable name in the industry.

John build a very sturdy x-ray cabinet for our practice. His measurements were spot on, and he did a beautiful job building it, staining and installing it to withstand the weight of many years of x-rays and to earthquake standards. AND, he did this while his crew was constructing a very challenging overhanging balcony for a large cliff side home.

I recently worked with JH Custom Homes on a project I had going on in my home. The project was a living room/dining room remodel. JH Custom Homes did an amazing job, they new exactly what to change and how too arrange everything to give the inside of my home a newer more modern look. I'm really happy with the work that's been done. I spent so much time looking for someone who could get this job done for me but it all paid off cause in the end I found JH Custom Homes and they were the right guys for the job. To anyone in need of a home remodel or anything of that sort i suggest you look into JH

James did a remodel on our Dana Point 4-unit condo in 2011 and we couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. He checked in with us every step of the way, was on-site most of the time (I'm guessing about 95%) and his crew was very attentive, friendly and respectful. He also made suggestions for improvement along the way and his expertise in construction was evident. He finished the job on-time and kept the disruption to our daily lives to a minimum!

Our house recently sprung a water leak which required extensive work for restoring the interior drywall and exterior stucco to its original appearance. After speaking with James Hooper, it was apparent that he was a straightforward kind of guy and was a detail oriented person.
