While it's important to warm up before exercising, we don't want you to forget about your cool down this summer. After exercising, it is essential to help your body return to its normal state before returning to your daily. Whether you are an avid adventurer, extreme athlete or casual exerciser, incorporating yoga into your workout routine can provide many benefits for you.

You can include yoga at the beginning or end of your workout, or it can be. Even low-contact sports can result in acute or overuse injuries that keep athletes from participating in the activities they love. Proper orthopedic treatment can help athletes return to their pre-injury level of function and get back their active, athletic.
Services
Doctor Carney's specialty lies in reconstructive orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He offers the most advanced and comprehensive orthopedic care available in Bergen County, New Jersey (NJ). Doctor Carney and his staff are dedicated to providing the highest level of personal attention, expertise, compassion, and overall quality care to his patients.
The musculoskeletal system provides the body with structure, stability, and the flexibility required to move freely. This system is composed of bones, muscles, ligaments and tendons. Joints, the areas in the body where two bones meet, are also an important part of the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedics is the medical specialty devoted to treating the range of injuries and illnesses that affect this system.
When a patient experiences chronic and severe knee pain resulting in limited movement, sometimes knee replacement surgery is necessary to relieve the hurt and restore function in severely diseased knee joints. Doctor Carney has completed countless successful knee surgeries. He understands that surgery is a big step but may be necessary for patients to maintain a comfortable mobile life style.
Rotator cuff tears are common, but not all require surgery. If you are experiencing pain and limited range of motion in your shoulder, you should consult your doctor to determine the cause and if surgery is the best option for you. Rotator cuff surgery can help restore pain-free motion in a shoulder joint.
ACL injuries are common in sports medicine. These injuries can be assessed through a minimally invasive technique called knee arthroscopy. This allows us to assess (and in most cases treat) ACL injuries. During the procedure, we make a small incision in the affected area and then utilizing a tiny camera and fiber optics, we view and (if necessary) operate on the affected area.

Dr. Carney operated my shoulder over 12 yrs ago and I have a 100% use of my arm and shoulder. He was conservative about surgery and we exhausted all other avenues of relief before surgery. I have referred many people to him over the years with no complaints whatsoever. In fact it was a client who had successful ankle surgery that referred me to him in the first place. Recently a relative needed a shoulder surgical consult and Dr. Carney carefully explained to us why she was NOT a surgical candidate. I highly recommend this orthopedic surgeon, who's medical advise and counsel I respect.

This was like the Twilight Zone of Orthopedists ...The Staff was ridiculous ..He was clearly not busy but there was a long wait . He had a female x-ray tech who was as nasty and snarky as you could possibly imagine (highly unprofessional) . I managed these types of practices for 30 years and would never treat patients as they did . First Dr to charge me for medical records in years . I was there three times, I believe and they had 14 drawn out pages of records ...When the afore mentioned took x-rays of my knee she moved and slammed the table so hard I felt it down my entire spine , and they knew

Dr. Carney broke the mold when it comes to amazing doctors. His professional friendly bed side manner, his amazing skills and talents as a surgeon and the care he puts into all of his patients has made my shoulder surgery less painful and more tolerable. Thank you Dr Carney.

I have been a patient of Dr Carney for the past 2 years and was referred by my orthopedist of 20 years. I had 2 Meniscus surgeries, 7 months apart and had a wonderful experience with Dr Carney and his staff. I will need both knees replaced eventually, because of arthritis, but for now, Dr. Carney has given me a few extra years before that becomes necessary

There was also a problem with my new Medicare Insurance and that was handled by his billing staff so professionally, that it was not a great stress for me, until it was eventually straightened out.

AWFUL!! The waiting room looks like the Brady Bunch living room but dirty. I was greeted at the front desk by a woman that reeks of cigarette smoke. Not exactly "healthy". Not to mention she decided to call me and everyone else "honey, baby, sweetheart." Very disrespectful. They were also aggravated that I had not "done my homework" and filled out my paperwork before my appointment. While sitting for over an hour in the waiting room I was able to hear conversations between the smokey woman and someone who appeared to be some sort of manager. Apparently they had no
