Very competitive monthly rates in the winter. Nice, clean showers and bathrooms. Offered two spaces during the winter season. Cell service is strong even though it's outside of Rapid City. Free WiFi is strong. Consistent, clean electricity even during.snow storms. Feet from a highway into the hills. Friendly accommodating staff.

Great RV park that was actually open late October! We originally booked 7 nights here, but I had to change it a couple of times and add nights. The staff were very accommodating and even allowed us to check in early when we arrived ahead of schedule. Most of the amenities were closed due to being out of season, but we had access to the laundry and clean bathrooms. We would definitely camp here again!

First time to South Dakota. Was originally going to stay at another site, saw the reviews for Heartland and decided to switch. So happy we did. Bathrooms and laundry room where immaculate. Cleanest I have seen outside my own. They have an event building where you can purchase breakfast and dinner. Also, a full bar. Then to top it all off they had live music. Greg Johnson and Rex where awesome. They also had a night of wine tasting. Friendliest staff we encountered the whole trip. Close to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, basically all the attractions you want to see. If you are going

We stayed overnight at Heartland and it was my favorite park of our trip! It is in a beautiful area and convenient to Custer State Park. The owners are so friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We had a nice site and the bathrooms and showers are immaculate. My dogs enjoyed the dog park! Food is available and we had breakfast delivered promptly to our site. It was hot and delicious! The store has everything you might need. I wish we could have had more time at this park.

Very easy to book reservations for us and my brother.
Property is very clean and well maintained.
Showers and restrooms are immaculate in cleanliness.
Rushing to get on the road let them feed you breakfast along with the evening activities during the season made it very enjoyable.
If you need a base camp for seeing the area I highly recommend.

Excellent campground. Very clean and friendly. Sites were level and well-maintained. Laundry room was easy to use and open 24 hours. I especially liked the link that they sent you that had day trips for the area planned for you. Really helped us enjoy our trip.

We think this is the nicest place we stay in the US. Laundry and Shower houses are kept immaculate. Breakfast and dinner daily if you like. Desserts also. Live entertainment on select nights. Level roomy parking spots and 10 minutes from Custer State Park. Only suggestion I would have is that you try to arrange a non denominational church service on Sunday at maybe 10 AM since check out is 11. Thank you for a great week.

This was a perfect little hideaway. The people in the gift shop were wonderful!!! The food at the restaurant was wonderful. The lady who ran the restaurant was sensational. Clean bathrooms and cabins. We had an A/C unit or heater in the cabin. Playground was fun. Everything was perfect except the bar tender (VERY RUDE)! If there was a way to rate him separately without hurting this beautiful place believe me I would! So just be aware there. Otherwise is was a perfect quiet vacation, full of family fun. Also the cabins have their own fire pit so smoke time!!! And no worries if you forget something

We stayed here six years ago on our way back from Montana and like it then. There have been many changes by adding more spaces, an events center, offering breakfast, wine tasting and music/concerts. Check-in was very easy with being put in a staging area while inside to get registered, then guided to our spot. The restrooms were very clean, as was the laundry room (though we did not use those). The pool area was used, but taken care of. Would highly recommend and will stay again when in the area.
