Services
Palatov Motorsport offers a wide range of products and engineering services for the electric and hybrid vehicle industry. Together with our development partners Rinehart Motion Systems, Remy, ContactScale, and others, we are creating a range of component technologies for the next generation of hybrid and electric vehicles.
The mission of the D1 is to push the boundaries of what a modern vehicle is capable of while making its performance accessible to dedicated track enthusiasts. The D1's 1,000hp/ton power/weight ratio is made usable by its innovative AWD system, the broad and flat torque curve of its 3.0L Hartley V8 engine, and advanced electropneumatic paddle shift system.
Designed specifically for hillclimb competition, the D1PPS (Pikes Peak Special) uses the longer D1-derived chassis and bodywork, with substantial additional rollcage and other reinforcements to comply with unique requirements of the Pikes Peak hillclimb. The engine is coupled to a custom Hewland sequential gearbox with Geartronics electronic paddle shift and the Palatov proprietary lightweight AWD system.
The purpose of the D2 is to address the need for a lightweight two-seat sportscar that is both track ready and street capable. This is accomplished by using a 50-state emissions legal engine package and a chromoly space frame chassis architecture. The chassis features significant advances in rigidity and safety.
The D4 is designed to make genuine race car performance accessible to trackday enthusiasts at a modest cost. It features advanced underbody aerodynamics, a long arm double wishbone suspension with pushrod activated coilover dampers and an optional all-wheel drive system. Power comes from a variety of motorcycle engines with typical configurations using 1.0L or 1.3L units of 175-200 hp.
