A Canadian native, Doctor Barinder Cheema might have become a hockey player instead of a dentist, but a certain uncle in his family had a very great influence on his eventual choice of career. Visiting his uncle's dental office, "it became inspirational to see such big changes among people walking in with pain and out with a smile."
Blending art with science, dentistry is my passion. I consider it a privilege to be a dentist, to have a real impact on the health of my patients. I studied to become a dentist right here in California at UC San Francisco and graduated in 2006. My approach towards dentistry is best described as comprehensive.

I cannot recommend Dr Cheema and Placerville Dental Group enough. I had the pleasure of hosting Dr Cheema at my advanced digital implant course and I have to say I am impressed by his knowledge and commitment… to excellence. If you are within 6 hours of his office, run, don’t walk to Dr Cheema and his team. I’ve trained docs from all over the US and they are top notch. Go team Cheema!

I recently went to Dr. Berry at the Placerville Dental Group and he capped 6 horrible teeth right in front! It took about 3 hours, and once the local kicked in I felt no pain!! The staff there are ALL very pleasant and efficient, and I especially appreciated NOT being scolded or judged for neglecting my teeth for so long!! Many, many thanks to everyone at Placerville Dental Group!!
