Alpharetta and Cumming Internal Medicine is focused on delivering the highest quality medical care for our adult patients. We believe that open and honest communication, patient education, and a strong commitment to excellent health are the foundation for a successful patient-physician relationship.
Internal medicine is the branch and specialty of medicine concerning the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases in adults, especially of internal organs. Doctors of internal medicine, also called "internists", are required to have included in their medical schooling and postgraduate training at least three years dedicated to learning how to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases that affect adults.
Primary care is medical care delivered with the patient and the community first in mind and is traditionally the point of 'first contact' for the patient when a medical illness, issue or concern arises. Primary care not only treats the patient when they are ill, but works with the patient when they are healthy to establish strong health maintenance skills by practicing disease prevention and health education.
Screening for cancer is the act of looking for the disease when symptoms are not present. These tests are designed to identify the presence of cancer early on when treatment is more successful. Screening tests are performed to ensure that patients are in good health and do not necessarily mean that the doctor believes you have cancer.
Physical examinations or clinical examinations is the process by which we investigate the body of a patient for signs of disease. It generally follows the taking of the medical history - an account of the symptoms as experienced by the patient. Together with the medical history, the physical examination aids in determining the correct diagnosis and devising the treatment plan.

What’s the point in asking me what I needed to talk abt over the phone, only to tell me she didn’t feel comfy telling me anything or asking anything bcoz I was in a public area? There’s these things called earphones. I had a pair in so nobody could hear her at least. And so what if they did? They don’t know her or even know what she looks like. It was a waste of my time and a bad experience. I think she was just being straight up lazy and didn’t want to do her job. I’ve talked w plenty of ppl on the phone abt what I needed in a public area. It’s just an excuse for her. Won’t be

I have been a patient of this group practice for 15 plus years,”. Dr. Caldwell is excellent and always on time for appointments. That is not case with male doctors (Dr. Holbrook and Dr Miller) Have no regard for patient time at all. Always late. Recently I had an appointment for annual Physical check with Dr. Miller at 8am. I was waiting there in the patient room till 9:23am he did not show up at all. Completely rude and no regards to patient’s time. I reported to the facility manager and she promised to schedule me with Dr. Caldwell but no response for three weeks.

I have been a patient for over 15 years, and have been pleased over those years however today my mind has been changed. They called me yesterday saying that I had a bill of almost $300. All fees! They had charged me twice for not showing up, one of those I had called 48 hours before (they said it was less than 24 hours) the second one they called me (under 24 hours by the way) to ask me if I would change my time to a later time I agreed and when I went in to the appointment the staff didn't make note of it. I spoke to a lady yesterday and today and she was extremely nice but she told me that her

Called and said I couldn’t make an appointment as I potentially exposed to covid and they charged me 50$ for missed visits. I did ask many times what could I have done and also they can say because you missed an appointment before so we have to charge you. I was cognizant of other people I might infect but they don’t care about that. Take your business else where

Dr. Holbrook is fantastic. He cares about his patients as do the other medical professionals at this practice. Many of the reviews on here don’t acknowledge that these folks have worked tirelessly through the pandemic. Please remember that they are people, too. The portal is easy to use and more efficient than a phone call. They work with budgets regarding high deductibles and the lab folks are excellent at the blood draw, efficient and quick. The location is convenient and clean, plenty of seating and parking.

I needed to make a sick appointment at Alpharetta Internal Medicine Recently. Thanks to(Cameron?) the front office staff for making it easy and informative. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to wait 48hrs to be seen. Once I arrived I was to text a number alerting the staff I was there. A staff member came to my car to check me in and assisted me inside. I was welcomed by several staff members In complete medical safety wear. My visit was through and complete in a matter of a short time. Thank you to Lauren, Laura and Lisa(PA) for a great experience during this unprecedented time.

I was referred to Dr Holbrook by another physician. My experiences have been good. Making appointments are easy and they have been very accommodating. I also did a virtual visit during lock down. The staff went above and beyond to prepare me. The portal is very helpful for quick questions or a prescription refill request. I have visited both offices. They are clean and efficient.

Tried to make an appointment after being exposed to an individual with Covid, called and was informed I would need to wait for a return call. Call never came. Tried to refill prescriptions, required me to come in. Called and made an appointment. Appointment was scheduled for the incorrect date, received no confirmation, email or phone, for the appointment. What I did get was an email from their billing department charging me $25 for missing an appointment that was scheduled for an incorrect date.
Disappointing to say the least, I understand the burden they may be under due to the pandemic, but

This Dr. Office is very discriminating! They are a disservice to the society and do not deserve any star. Don't go here! When you called to set an appointment, they demanded that you'd check with your own insurance yourself to see if their doctors are your insurance's network even after you provided them with your insurance policy# and type. I checked mine and Dr. Margaret Still was my network and showed that she was accepting new patient. They set the appointment for me. I took the day off work and showed up early for my appointment to fill out the paperwork. They made me waited for 15 min and
