Well I wasn't disappointed. Only got to try the last breads of the day (around 7pm) and they were fresh and soft:
1. The taro loaf. I touched it and it was beyond pillowy, so naturally I had to get it. And it's whole which means I can make thick toast if I wanted to. It truly was mega soft. $4!
2. Purple yam haupia. This 4 pack was a bit denser than I thought it would be. It was okay for me.
3. Taro flaky bun. Soft soft soft even at night. It does have some decent taro paste inside but not too much. It was good.
Not a fancy bakery but as a classic Chinese bread place, I thought

RUINED our day. We placed an order for my goddaughter's birthday 8 days in advance. We pre-paid--Big Mistake! The pick-up was scheduled for 12:00 PM. When we arrived, we were informed that the cake was not ready and we're asked to return in 30 min. I retuned at 1:00. They said that they didn't know why the cake wasn't ready and to come back in 30 more minutes. At 1:30, we requested a refund. BUYER BEWARE: There is a sign at the cash register that states that they do not provide refunds. They had to call their manager, further extending the time we had to spend in the

Great bakery for fresh buns and cakes! I love to walk around the shop to check out their great variety of pastries and pick out different ones to try. This time, I got the pineapple red bean bun, which was yummy! I also grabbed some of their sponge cakes, which I like to eat for breakfast with some coffee or tea. My family loves this place too!

Best bakery in town. It has been open for as long as I can remember. When I was in college I would specifically drive an hour out to come buy the breads here! They don't skimp on culinary skills and quality ingredients for their breads, yet they still offer their breads at the same prices as other bakeries that offer less!

The wife and I love this place. We've never had any of the cakes, though they look nice. The gem of this place is entirely in the bao. This is a chinese bakery , so the folks here speak cantonese and they make a mean dan tat the hongkong egg tart.
Personally my standard is the curry bun or the pork buns, but theres really no wrong choices. Amazingly good red bean and taro. You can tell the quality because the bread is as good as the filling, but plenty of filling too. We stop at this bakery essentially any time we are heading further east than down town like clock work. That's how good

They have plenty of varieties of Asian cookies, pastries, bread and cakes at a reasonable price. However, they were out by 10am of the chicken and pork breaded buns. The store has your normal mandatory mask wear. Staff are friendly. I will come back and try other stuff. Second time coming back the cashier/owner never acknowledge us we said thank you and she never did say anything for the business we gave her. Not sure if we’re coming back. We try to support small business but they also need to learn to show some customers services quality. Too many competitors out there not to appreciate your

Product quality is poor, prices are average (but not worth it given the low quality). Products are not fresh, although the appearance is good.
We bought 7 items, and all were sub-par.
As an example, both Tiramisu and Cappuccino Cake had a weird gelatin base with a rubbery feel and artificial taste.
The Tiramisu came in a conical shape to make the quantity look more than actual. You can get way better quality Tiramisu at Walmart and at least 5 times cheaper price, quantity for quantity.

Honestly this is my go to bakery for all my birthday cake needs. I had to go to OC after picking it up and the nice lady who helped me carry it to my car and suggested to drive slow because she was worried it will fall over. She also helped me make sure that it was secure before she went back into the shop. I told her I had to drive 40 mins out she said good luck to me. I ordered yellow sponge cake and strawberry for the inside. Delicious! I just wish I ordered a bigger cake! This served barely for 12 people. But they suggested 10-12 depending the cake slice.
10/10 recommend !!!

Absolutely the freshest bakery I have been to. Everything that I got here just melted in ur mouth and had soooooooo much flavor. The ladies that were working that day were really nice to this very white guy who hasn't been in a bakery like this before. Very nice combination of different spices and flavors. Will definitely b back soon

Every Lunar New Year, my family stops by Diamond Bakery for 5+ containers of their fried sesame dough twists. This year they only had Half-and-Half containers of fried sesame dough twists and fried sesame balls, so we got some of those.
We actually prefer the FRIED SESAME BALLS (9/10) this time so I'm so glad we got them! The FRIED SESAME DOUGH TWISTS (8/10) were good but not as phenomenally good as I remember them being last year...perhaps the recipe changed? But I'll still happily eat them lol.

The cakes here use to be delicious, but sadly it has been subpar lately.
I ordered a two tiered cake (yellow sponge cake, custard filling with strawberries) around this same time last year and it was delicious! My only complaint with that cake was that the top tier was not held up strongly, so it toppled over. And when I mentioned this to the baker recently, she shrugged it off as if it was no big deal. Wow, excellent feedback.
I decided to order another birthday cake here. To order a custom cake, you have to email them with a description of the cake and when you need it by. I included my sketch

Diamond Bakery's fruit tart is delicious and aesthetically pleasing, as all the fruit is perfectly arranged on the tart. There were grapes, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and (canned) peaches. All of the fruits were fresh and sweet. Even the canned peaches had a nice crunch.
There was a surprise layer of cake (the light and fluffy Chinese bakery kind) underneath the fruit! This made the fruit tart extra awesome because it was for a birthday, and "birthday tart" just doesn't have the same ring as "birthday cake." Anyway, there was custard under the secret

Trying to support local businesses! Went for a jog the other morning and wanted to pick up dim sum at Yum Cha, but sadly this place was closed. I remembered going to this bakery as a kid, as it was in the same complex as Sanrio. So I came here and picked up some pastries and some raison bread. The ladies working there weren't very friendly, didn't greet me. I tried to pay at the cash register and the lady stared me down and asked me to pull up my mask. I get that, but dang, I am trying to support your business. Try and be a little friendlier? I guess I should expect this type of service
