We opened our store doors in Chappaqua in September of 1991 in a tiny space occupying less than 250 sq.ft. Through the years we have gained a reputation of service and quality with our customers, hard to match in the cycling industry.
Bikes have been our family business for two generations: Julio opened his first bicycle shop when he was only 15 years of age in a small town in Uruguay, South America and now in Chappaqua, his children continue the so proudly owned family business. At Julio's we put all our heart and soul in each repair, sale and consultation, to make sure that our customers get the service they seek and deserve.

My husband and I have been here on separate occasions. I, a woman, went in saying I wanted a mountain bike and Will showed me . . . a road bike? I could not convince him that I would be mountain biking. He was dismissive. My husband went in separately, said he wanted a mountain bike and was shown . . . a mountain bike! Then he said my wife is looking for a mountain bike too and Will asked where I'd be riding b/c you don't need a mountain bike on the road. Incidentally, Will was helping another customer at one point and was clearly telling a parent that they shouldn't get a bike basket for their

Super friendly and helpful! Many a bike shop are snobby and rude and won't help you if you're not ready to drop $5k on a frame. Not Julio's. Up till a recent descent into the black hole of upgrades I'd only ever visited them for tuneup and repairs and they always took good care of me. And when it came to the upgrades they were very helpful and informative.
Many thanks guys!

Called for a part for an old kids bike, they said they had it, when I got there of course they didn't have it and convinced me to buy a used part. I figured to let them install it since they said it would be $20 or $30 and I wasn't sure it was working anyway. Cut to an hour later or 2 later and they got over $100 out of me because they had a hard time getting it to fit the bike. I tried to give a local place business, next time I'll just get it online.

I've used Julio's twice for service and have been impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and most of all their service. I had changed the work order for my bike, asking them not to put new tires and tubes on as I realized I had both at home. When I arrived, the new tires and tubes were on the bike. They immediately apologized, removed them, credited my bill and gave me the new tubes for free because they had thrown away my old used tubes. That to me was service above and beyond and I did not even buy my bikes from them!

This is, with out a doubt the best bike shop I have ever been to. Not only do they have very friendly, knowledgeable and honest staff but there prices are fair for what you are getting. They could repair your bikes that could be as low or high end that you own. I highly recommend this bike shop to any one who needs to repair or buy a bike of any kind.

Do not purchase Bicycles from this place. Not only will they overcharge you, but also give you faulty equipment. I purchased a $600 bicycle and it broke quick. I needed to get it repaired and they charged over $159 each time. This was one of the worst purchases I ever made. They sell bikes that break than overcharge you to get it repaired.

This place is awesome. A little on the pricier side, perhaps, but the customer service can't be beat, and you absolutely get what you pay for. These guys know their stuff and while their inventory can be expensive, they don't ever take advantage of you or try to be pushy and upsell you. Wouldn't take my bikes anywhere else.

Possibly one of the greatest "Local Bike Shops" in the US.
Bicycle Julio is a fantastic shop, and serves the needs of both the family bicycle shopper, the avid mountain biker, and the 10,000-mile per year roadie. Paul and Willie are always helpful and Manuel is a detail-oriented, efficient, talented mechanic, and a great wheel builder.
I'm a pretty finicky cyclist, and used to do all my own work because I couldn't find a shop in NYC that met my standards, but since moving to Chappaqua, I rely on Bicycle Julio to keep my bikes in tune. So far, they've built up a cx bike

Great bike shop with great people working there. I brought 2 bikes in (which I didn't buy there) to have them look them over for the upcoming season. They are very friendly and accommodating. If you are into cycling or are looking to start and are within a half an hour drive, I would make this your place to go.

Best Bike shop I've ever been to. I've been serious into mountain biking for about 7 years and in the last 4 years been getting into road bikes as well. I have purchased three bike from here and had a great experience every time. The owners spend a ridiculous amount of time making sure you get the right bike for your needs. They are friendly, caring and educational. I won't shop anywhere else for bike equipment.
