Joseph hospitals lie Milford Manor - a rehabilitation and nursing center. Milford Manor is a 120 bed facility which provides a variety of specialized programs. Our facility is a place of nurturing where our short term patients receive the rehabilitation and care they need to go back to the community; and our long term residents receive the compassion and care they should to get the most out of life.
Services
We view our facility as a place of nurturing, where our residents receive the care they need and enjoy life. With its two Atrium's, large Activity are, Elegant Dining Room and Outdoor Garden, Residents and their families often describe Milford Manor as an extension of home. We invite you to come tour Milford Manor.
I am thankful that I chose Milford Manor for my nursing care and rehabilitation after my surgery. I would like to give particular recognition to individual nurses, aides, therapists and office personnel for their services--but I only know them by their first names. There are also many whose names I don't know or remember, who I want to acknowledge.
Speech Therapy: treatment focusing on speech, language, cognition, communication, swallowing, voice and other related disorders. Our beautiful new rehabilitation gym includes a full residential style kitchen and bath in an ADL (Activity of Daily Living) Suite that allows therapists to teach/train our patients to safely function in these spaces before returning home.
Milford Manor has a rehabilitation program that benefits residents who have experienced fractures, strokes, amputations, neurological disorders, arthritis, and extended non-weight bearing injuries. Discharge goals are established for sub-acute residents upon their admission. Our interdisciplinary team consists of physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapists.

I'm grateful we were able to get our family member transferred out of here. It was very difficult to get information about his condition. We planned to transfer him to a different long term care facility after his rehab. No one told us his condition deteriorated and he wouldn't be a good fit for the place we planned to move him to. We allowed them to keep him in their nursing home wing while we planned his next move. Again, his condition deteriorated and he wasn't a good fit for the place we were working hard to get him into. Again, they didn't inform us. We only heard about the disturbing change

I have experienced many hospitals, rehab and assisted living facilities in the last 2.5 years. When I first walked into the Milford Manor I thought "Oh no, what have I chosen"...I was soo wrong.
The facility is older, with that nursing home fear feel, but is actually very clean and currently having updates. Compared to other "more elite" facilities, this one was the best so far. My mom was in the rehab section. Everyone was friendly, listened and addressed concerns or issues promptly, and really showed an overall understanding of each individuals needs. They were very open to listening to whatever

My mom stays here and was moved here after The Chelsea Assisted Care Living Facility Dementia Ward refused to accept her back after a 4 day hospital stay stating that she would need to get rehab at Milford Manor for 2 weeks before returning back to The Chelsea. After 3 weeks, The Chelsea refused to accept her back which was really rotten on their part, so she now lives here.
It's a typical Nursing home. Probably no better, no worse than the others out there. All Nursing Homes are depressing. The staff here is pretty good, friendly. They seem to be well staffed although sometimes on the weekends
