Prima Deshecha Landfill is located at 32250 Avenida La Pata, San Juan Capistrano, CA 92675. The hours are Mon - Sat: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. OC Waste & Recycling accepts cash, checks (two checks are required) and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express). The Waste Management Commission meets quarterly (March, June, September and December) on the second Thursday of the month. Meeting dates are shown below. Leftover household products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable or reactive ingredients are considered Household Hazardous Waste (HHW). Products such as paints, cleaners, oils, batteries and pesticides that contain potentially hazardous ingredients require special handling when you dispose of them.
Most medicines can be disposed of in the trash. However, it is important to take proper steps to prevent accidental ingestion when throwing old medicine away. California law prohibits disposal of home-generated sharps waste in the trash or recycling containers, and requires that all sharps waste be disposed of safely.
