Tom, you have to understand that you had our car for 2 full days and told us it was fixed and ready to be picked up! You're suppose to be the experts here!! The car went and left your place with the same problem! Why would we want you to have it another minute!? Obviously, nobody test drove it for miles. I can see by other bad reviews that you get very defensive and are apparently perfect! We have it being looked at by a professional place now!

I have been using Standard Auto Care any time I needed work done or maintenance on my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT truck. They have always been very pleasant, honest and no pressure to get work done that is not an emergency. I've taken my care into Standard Auto Care twice at this point and I've been pleased with their service every single time. I never feel like they are trying to upsell me on anything but they still make sure that my car gets everything that it needs. Tom and his team were awesome ! My car had basically thrived on neglect until it hit that dreaded 100k light and then it seemed everything went wrong. They troubleshot the car, performed the services needed and fixed SEVERAL fuel leaks,. that check engine light is OFF. Super responsive, professional and pleasant to work with,. Thanks, friends.

Standard Auto took on my problem car after 3 other shops told me to give up. They diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts, found wiring problems and sorted them out, and in general made my car run like a top. I recommend them for routine care as well as difficult problems. Tom and his staff are knowledgeable as well as efficient and kept me informed every step of the way.

Highly recommended! Thank you for fixing the oil leak on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that's been leaking for a long time! I reached out to Sue in the office to get my vehicle a smog check. Tom and his team were able to get my car in on the same day and take care of the service need within 30 mins. Standard Auto Care in my go to shop when I need assistance and they deliver a solid experience.

Highly recommend coming to get your car repaired here!! Not only is my AC working (just in time for summer) but the service was amazing! I generally do not take my car to auto shops due to the fact that my dad works on my car, but when I do need to bring my car in, it's nice knowing that their are people out there who really care about their customers. Tom and Sue you are wonderful and I will definitely come back if needed!

I am very disappointed with my experience at this shop. I took my recently purchased vehicle for a "pre-inspection" after having driven it for a week already without any issues and received a very false and over exaggerated report on the vehicle which couldn't even be followed up with a thourough explanation of cause and solution (leaks, bad breaks, bad steering problems). The strong attempts to keep me from buying the car, trashing every car dealership in Fulton area as untrustworthy and then referring me to a dealership they know well, Carmax in Roseville, also made matters worse

This is an old issue, but thought I'd follow up with my review. We took the car to another shop who charged $40 total to look at the car and fix whatever minor issue there was and the car passed smog with no issues. Saved ourselves $80 at the very least. I honestly believe the fuel treatment they did on the vehicle just needed time to burn off before trying to smog again, but that advice wasn't given.

Standard auto care is a company I can trust to do my auto work with quality. I like the security knowing that my car is safe on the road and not likely to breakdown. In my profession an unplanned breakdown is an absolute waste of time and can lead to lost appointments; not to mention nearly half a day spent on a tow and the work that should have been done previously with a scheduled auto maintenance checkup that works around my schedule. I actually thought this shop would be different seeing that they had such high reviews on Carmax RepairPal but no. After picking up my car the first time after repairs were supposed to be completed I noticed my car still making the same noise. I immediately called them, their response, it must be the other issues which a manufacturer was scheduled to be taken care.
1st Red Flag- deflecting their negligence on a water pump issue.

As I'm quickly approaching 200,000 miles on my Nissan truck, I needed some honest recommendations to keep me on the road for my next 100k. Standard Auto Care and their crew took my vehicle in for a day, changed my oil to at least have that handled, and provided me with some clear options. They offered transparent advice so that I wasn't pressured into paying for anything that my truck didn't need, and that alone is priceless. I told Tom directly that I was disappointed with my service and he said "What you should be disappointed by is how much it's going to cost to get it fixed". Yeah, especially if I got it fixed by them (estimate $3150 from them, $1700 from Luscious Garage/SF).
I had to call them two times after they hadn't even looked at until the second day it was sitting there.
He sent me a copy of the illegible diagnostic codes that I had to ask for and that even he couldn't read, which created a bunch of emailing back and forth, wasting everyone's time.

Moved recently to the area, and they are down the street.
Have had my previous Honda Element, current Toyota FJ Cruiser, and current Mazda RX-8 there for service.
I will give them the highest praise I can give any car repair shop: they are so fastidious, they don't grease up my steering wheel/shifter/interior/etc the way almost every other shop (including the many BMW dealers I have dealt with) seem to do.
I would believe it's not a coincidence that this is then representative of their quality of customer service, and so far I have not had any problems with their work itself.

A one because the office staff was great and gave me a rose. However I felt robbed. $230.40 for labor to install an ignition switch.$192.00 labor to find a code on the check engine light. The only thing I did feel robbed on was the cost of the ignition switch.
If my code was due to an ignition switch these prices for labor were in my opinion steep.
At first I felt comfortable but then I felt stripped of my little retirement income. I wouldn't return because of the cost.

I promptly took my Nissan to Future Nissan of Folsom to follow up on ALL the supposed problems you found with my car, and they found NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. Because yes as a seller, I was concerned myself that my car actually had these problems that I was unaware of. But once they also gave me the green light I was fuming. I don't know if you have been ripping people off for 19 years, but it sounded like it after being at your shop for one hour. Get your equipment and mechanics checked.
