Focused Results Personal Training, a personalized, one-on-one training studio, is a community that focuses on health and where everyone belongs - always. Focused Results is pleased to work with clients throughout the Chicago suburbs, but we primarily serve Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Highland Park, Illinois.
Zak's been training clients for 15 years, 8 of which belong to his own studio, Focused Results. Zak attended school at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where he studied Kinesiology and earned his Masters in Business.

Recognized by the American College of Sport Medicine (ACSM) as a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Function Range and Conditioning Specialist, and Precision Nutrition Coach, Zak's dream and passion has been to own a personal fitness studio and help guide people through their fitness journey.
Our coaching is not about rules or deprivation and it is not another diet plan; it is a lifestyle that you become accustomed to through healthy habits. It is about communication, learning, guidance, and support. Coach Zak & Kirk help you embrace your best self and add healthy, positive, practical habits to your busy life - one step at a time, one habit at a time, one day at a time.
This membership covers all the bases to help you reach your goal wherever you are and wherever you want to go. Fitness: 10-45 min workouts from our trainers, including HIIT, weights, body weight and resistance band, targeted booty & abs. Mobility and Posture Restoration Mobility and stretching with specialized FRC and PRI techniques.

Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the weight room needs a bit more variety. Great amenities and a place the whole family can enjoy

Why pay more for a gym. Plenty of well maintained equipment, clean locker room and restrooms, great staff equals an unbeatable value.

I brought my grade school son here for some advice on exercise tips for his various sports. I was pleasantly surprised when Zak, the owner, started the session by asking my son about his eating habits and several other lifestyle type questions instead of diving blindly into the workout. We learned some insightful things about diet and suggestions on what to add and what to skip.

Zak gave some great eating tips and then went through several unique exercises that we could try at home. My son was sweating and tired but really enjoyed it and we are looking forward to going back for the next workout

Zak Rivera is a truly excellent trainer and has been my personal trainer for the last 3 years. An outstanding master of his craft, he individualizes each workout to challenge me and to make sure that my own personal goals are achieved. I've had excellent experiences with both one-on-one training and small group training sessions. The studio is clean and cheerful, definitely not like a regular gym. One-on-one sessions are great - each session is geared toward my goals and every session is different so I don't get bored. Even in the small group sessions, I receive personal attention to make sure I am using the correct form. When I decided to try a small group workout, I was nervous that it would be too hard or too easy depending on the fitness level of everyone else in the class. I was pleasantly surprised to find

I have been working with Zak at his Lake Forest location now for approaching one year. Zak has created a customized program for me based on my personal fitness goals. There is a great deal of variety in the program and it feels like we are doing something new almost every session. Zak is extremely professional and has a great way of communicating and motivating based on the individual needs of everyone that works with him. I would highly recommend Zak and his team regardless if your level of fitness is at a beginner or advanced level.
