I ordered the most expensive ramen, lobster lover, who came with half of small lobster, the soup was cold and the noodles attached. The straw looked old, so I decided not to drink anything. I didn't tip, and I don't think I'm going back to this restaurant. check the size of the lobster in relation to the spoon.

Had the garlic tonkotsu. Creamy soup base with lots of garlic. Great boiled egg and veggies, noodles were adequate. Also had gyoza - awesome. And the takoyaki - just like at the street vendors in Nagoya! The oshinko was legit, no non Japanese knock off. The matcha mochi ice was delish! From a hanbun hanbun nihonjin born is Sasebo, I'll be back and you should visit for sure!

Legit is how I’d describe the Japanese fare served up at Higuma Ramen & Izakaya. I was expecting a bit more upscale setting but it’s clean and cute and the food is authentic. The takoyaki tasted just like what you’d find at a festival in Japan. Served hot and delicious with friendly service. The menu is great including Japanese traditional pickles, agedashi tofu and karaage. If you want to expand your Japanese dinning experience beyond just sushi and ramen this is a great choice.

The best Ramen ever! The level of spice is perfect too. I got a level 3 & that was alil more than medium spicy. The noodles are cooked perfect. The chkn broth is delicious. The tofu used is super soft. The egg is cooked perfectly soft & tasty yolk. I cannot wait to eat here again. The service is lagging though. But the taste of the food makes up for it. The prices are reasonable too.

Great, affordable, beautiful, quiet, kid-friendly place.. we spent $10-20 per person.
Funny how we found this restaurant. I had made plans with my girlfriends to go see this Christmas Lighting event in Addison. Day of event, it was raining all day, however, we decided to go still. We'll, turns out the event was canceled. So we just had to find something else.
We had taste for Japanese, so we went here. It is a small nice place. Not busy at all. The servers are nice. The play good music and there's a TV with a chef's culinary display. It's a pleasure to watch. If you have kids, it's also a kids

As of now, after visiting and eating at roughly 8-10 ramen restaurants, this is currently my favorite.
Not for the atmosphere, as it nothing out of the ordinary, if anything slightly bland. It's not the service, as it was just above average. The chicken fried rice had too strong of a curry flavor. The chicken karaage was so/so. But the duck was pretty good.
However..... All that said..... The Ramen is truly the best I've had in the DFW metroplex. Both the Spicy Garlic Tonkotsu and the Spicy Garlic Ramen (with the shoyu base) were both excellent. Very flavorful. It's just really, really good.

Specialty ramen place. Came here out of curiosity with the girlfriend and was pleasantly surprised by their selection! Definitely recommend the crab croquettes as an appetizer.
Place deserves another waiter/waitress or two. The one working during lunch could have easily been overwhelmed during the lunch rush, so I appreciate her promptness and attention to service. Hope to come back soon!

I just moved here from California, and my taste is very strict on what I eat. I came in not expecting much out of here, but I was surprised. The food here is amazing! I am getting the curry rice again, and maybe next time try with something else too. My husband loved his ramen too. Nothing really to complain about. Happy hour is Monday through Friday between 3 to 6pm. It's short, but if you wanna go there for some drinks and good food to snack on. This is the place to go to. It wasn't even that busy when I went. I hope this stays around because I am coming back.
