Easily the best Jamaican/Caribbean food in the DFW. And even better service. Worth the trip every time.

Yo my first time at this restaurant. Living in New York all I ate was Carribean food. And finding the Island Spot here in Dallas... Boy it was so delicious. And Mr. Chin was awesome. Great restaurant, great service and the best food and drinks. I will be back

The veggies were great. The flavor of the oxtails was awesome but they were the hardest oxtails I've ever had.

I went here to grab lunch with my brother when he was in town. And it smells great when you walk in, and lot's of parking outside, which makes it easy getting in and out. The host wasn't welcoming when we walked in, but lots of seating beautiful inside decor, which I loved. Small food portion the drink was okay and the oxtail was tender but not flavourful, But the best part of my meal was the patty so delicious

Delicious Jamaican restaurant. It is a bit pricey as most Jamaican meals in town but the taste is great. A wide variety of vegetarian options like tofu and vegetables in different ways and flavors. They take their time to prepare your meal but it is worth the wait as it is delicious indeed.

The oxtails were so tough wasn't a good flavor! Pretty disappointing when you drive a long distance. Also the salt fish tasted terrible I do not recommend this location at all. The only thing that's good is the beef patties

The smell from the parking lot led us straight to a Jamaican getaway. This is a "hole in the wall" style restaurant. We opened the door and we're welcomed by great island decor and music. The food portions were small but prices were fair. The curry goat was phenomenal. My husband had the brown chicken stew Andover it as well.

If I could suggest something to the restaurant, it would be to add more sides etc., sweet plantains, coleslaw, potato salad.

I was visiting and was recommended this place. 18.00 for curry goat. That was literally mostly bones. Way over priced for the portion size. I would definitely look else where. For perspective I put food on to cake plate to and then what was left in the container. Staff was nice, but I can get more for my coin else where.

We have been coming here for years and the service and good is usually 4 stars. However, this last encounter is going to be out last. First, the waiter forgot to put in my sons order. They rushed to cook the fried chicken so it was chewy, oily, and tasted terrible. After this the waiter took forever to bring out the check and come collect my card. Lastly, the restaurant has roaches. Take a look at the roach in the woman’s bathroom. We will not be back.

Curry shrimp rice and peas with plantains!!! So good! Flavor is amazing and it was fresh! Disappointed that they only gave me like 4 shrimp. But it was still good !

As i stated before, If u walk into a Jamaican restaurant and they are overly friendly the food may not be good. In MY experience, rude service= BOMB food at an Jamaican spot. And in this case the food was bomb. When i say rude i don't mean like uncomfortable nor nwelcomed more like, hey what u want? Money, thanks lol. Straight to the point which when I'm hungry I like lol .

Anywho, I loved it here! Only 4 stars cause

I definitely will return back to this little Jazzy Caribbean spot. I didn't get the names of the staff, servers or hostesses but everything was pleasant, and offered nice service.

They do require mask to enter but once you are seated you can remove them.

The seating was spaced out...offering social distance

I liked the atmosphere as well, the people were friendly as well I had this perfect stranger take a photo of my best friend that was visiting me also.

The curry goat was definitely the right tenderness but it was salty and the taste was nothing special. The rice a bit watery.

As for the Oxtail. It was maybe three or four big pieces that were mostly bone and the taste was lacking as well. It did taste better than some of the other places around town but nothing to die for.

The rum punch was also a thumbs down. It was lacking. But maybe it was an off day.
