We had the Ruben and the Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The Ruben was actually pretty bad. The meat was chewy and fatty and it was in a ball in the middle not flat and not extending to the edge of the sandwich. The Philly cheesesteak was pretty good, good flavor from the veggies inside. The fries and onion rings were very normal.
The bear claw was pretty good too.
Ultimately everything was overrated and over-priced. There’s definitely no need for me to try this place again.

I had a great experience, wonderful wait staff, amazing food, and enormous portions. The only negative I had was the seating benches (although very comfortable) was really low to the ground and difficult to get out of once very comfortable while eating and enjoying the atmosphere. I had a blast. The food is great and flavorful no extra seasonings like S&P required. The food also reminded me of when I grew up, using basic ingredients to make extraordinary dishes.

You know the passion of a chef when the simplest dish brings back childhood favorite homemade flavors - my first spoon of the Mischmash was exactly that. The chicken broth full of flavor, enough fresh pulled chicken meat, carrots with a bite, tasty maza ball and more. Every other dish we ordered for 4 people was a culinary delight.

Greeted by staff and seated immediately. Our server was Bernice and she was on top of the everything from drinks to us walking out. The food at DZ is awesome with a lot of Love. Large menu with many options. Its a vast array of goodness. The meal was delivered very quickly this evening to the 3 of us. We had cornbeef hash, Latkes, Pastrami Dip, salad, Mishmash soup, Cabbage roll, challa bread, and a large cream puff. We agreed everything was to our liking and served with care. DZs Pastrami rivals any you have had. Their cornbeef is very good. Cabbage rolls just amazing. It was a solid meal without

We had a craving for corned beef and pastrami, so drove out for lunch on Sunday. It was crowded, but we got outdoor seating immediately. Both our sandwiches were excellent. Our server was awesome too.
The parking lot can be a challenge. Just be patient. Or look for street parking.

Always delicious. I've been coming here for over 20years. Portions used to be very extremely large, now they're more appropriate. Same prices. About $14-20 for a sandwich with a side.
The potato salad is the best I've ever had. The ham sandwich is amazing. The pastrami is superb.

All the staff is very friendly. The food is delicious and location is easy to get to. Definitely worth the drive. We live in Arizona and usually stop on our way into or out of San Diego.

My first time there and I loved it. I was in San Diego visiting my son and he took me there. The food choices were unreal. You could eat for days and never try everything. Our food was delicious and the service was great. We also purchased gifts from the gifts shop and baked goods from the bakery.

Wow. Been wanting to come here for a while and it sure didn’t disappoint. Food was great and the service was even better. The delicatessen omelette was one of the best I’ve ever had. Matzo ball soup, potato pancakes, cheese blintzes. Everything. This IS the deli you’ve been looking for.
