Shame as it is a neighborhood business, but DO NOT GO THERE. Used to be 5 stars in service and kindness. They apparently changed ownership. I asked to wash my linens in cold water for 15$, instead they came back dry cleaned for over 150$ and now they are asking me to pay or they will not return them. Lowered to 100$ after I refused to pay. We will find somewhere else.

EXCELLENT services. My suits and shirts always come back in perfect condition, pressed and ready to go. I've even been skeptical about sending in ties to dry cleaners in worry that they may press and ruin them, but Capitol Valet sends them back in perfect condition. They also have some of the best repairs you could imagine. I had a very expensive pair of suit pants that tore beyond what I thought was possible for repair, and they came back to me like brand new. Amazing customer service!!!! I found this cleaners thru my apt complex since Capitol Valet provides us with a delivery service. They are trustworthy, precise, get the job done, and have a good turn around time.
Last week I had dropped off a suit jacket for sleeve hemming and 2 dress pants for hemming and I was supposed to pick them up the day before I was flying out to AZ. I totally forgot to pick up my garments! After I emailed Capitol Valet to explain that I won't be able to pick up my garments bc I was out of town for 2 months, the staff was able to accommodate me ASAP. They shipped out

I have been using the pick-up/drop-off dry cleaning services of Capitol Valet for many years. First from my home in NW Washington and now in SW Washington. The customer service is stellar - second to none. I email when I have a pick-up and they are always there that day or early the next. And the clothing is always delivered back exactly when promised. Never more than three days, often in just two days. The dry cleaning is always impeccable. I have never had a complaint for the way it is cleaned. They have never lost an article of clothing. I had an small problem with Capitol Valet when some things went missing, and you really know the caliber of a company based on how they handle problems. The plant manager tracked down my missing clothing, stayed in contact with me about the status and asked me to meet for coffee to apologize for the glitch. He gave me an education on dry cleaning and his company. They do some things that really matter to me: take care of the environment, give back to the community and share profits with my building. Avoid these guys like the plague! I was foolish enough to use their service twice. The first go around they lost part of my order and charged me for dry cleaning even though I only asked for laundry service. The second time my order was lost completely. Chelsea is slow to respond, if at all, and customer service is horrible! Run away!

DONT TAKE YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE! These people have no idea how to treat your good clothes. They hard pressed all of the silk pants and blouses I took in. Any experienced dry cleaners knows you steam silk and don't hard press it. I asked them to redo it and got it back exactly the same as the time before! Also, a new silk top was missing and no one responded to my request to speak to the owner about it. The people don't speak English well, and they laughed when I was upset at their losing my blouse. It's a joke, not a professional dry cleaner.

Through a pickup service at my apartment, I've used Capitol Valet for the past 6 months. The dry cleaning is great and efficient, and they do a good job. When I heard they also did shoe repair, I sent them a pair of expensive Alden shoes that had a hole in the sole. The cost was $70, so it wasn't inexpensive. They sent them back within a few weeks with rubberized soles and new rubberized heels. Visually, they didn't look great, but they looked to be ready for use.

Please be prepared to have your clothes ruined.. They press the shirts too hard, pressed on top of buttons (all buttons on shirt ruined), and removed the size tag on the shirt... For what reason? Not sure. I had previously taken some chinos before as well, they came out faded. Almost as if they had thrown them in the washing machine.. Avoid avoid avoid!

I am a huge fan of Capitol Valet! I have been using this dry cleaning and laundry service since early 2011. The pickup and delivery is a dream, for the same price as our neighborhood cleaners the clothes are picked up and delivered usually within three days. From laundering shirts and dry cleaning tuxedo's to repairing my winter coat - what a pleasure. We have never lost a piece of clothing and the one time it didn't work out just right, they were more than happy to make it right for us. Thanks Chelsea!

I've been using the delivery service since Oct 2015. it's a far cry from Presto Valet in Alexandria Va. I have very expensive clothing, some 100% silk. I've been noticing frayed edges, lack of stain removal and overall rough pressing of garments returned. Like they were slammed through. Some garments lost their original fabric texture. They need to work on handling expensive clothing with more delicate care. As I notice more garments I sent in that have come back with damage/fabric weakness, I'm hesitant to keep sending in garments to be cleaned for 100.00 + bill. The delivery

I switched from Prime Cleaners to Capitol Valet, both of whom service my building with regular delivery. CV's service has been fantastic from day one, but a recent experience compelled me to write this review.
I had a big job interview on Monday, but of course I'm forgetful and didn't drop off my clothes until Friday afternoon (which they picked up Saturday). I called Chelsea with my dilemma, and even though they don't operate on Sunday, she made sure someone dropped off my clothes on Sunday afternoon!
The best part was that she was happy to do it. No attitude, no guilting

I've been using these guys for the past two months since moving here. Firstly, the customer service headed by Chelsea is spectacular! They are super responsive and accommodating, even when it comes to dry cleaning for short notice travel. Secondly, the quality of the dry cleaning is outstanding. Shirts, jackets always come back looking crisp. Finally, the prices are extremely reasonable considering the service. All in all, what more could you ask for in dry cleaning. Highly recommend them.

Found them on Yelp and was happy to use them to clean my wedding gown two days after the wedding. They were very friendly and helpful, quoted me a decent price (though, apparently, it should have cost more than what the woman quoted me according to the cleaner; she did not charge me for more than the quote). I only wanted my gown cleaned, not preserved, since I planned on selling my gown to another bride and those preservatives can be nasty on your skin!
The only strange thing to me was that they literally ONLY do delivery. There is no longer a bricks and mortar store where you can drop things
