Located at the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest near Blue Ridge and Suches, Georgia. Skeenah Creek resides on the grounds of the old Skeenah Creek Mill. Built in 1848, the grist mill had been operational grinding meal for over one hundred and thirty years. The campground is part of the greater Skeenah Gap Valley area. We have WIFI. The original native stewards of these lands, the Cherokee Indians translate the word "Skeenah" to mean ghost.

The Skeenah Mill located on the campground property was built in 1848 by Willis Rabun Woody. In 1838 he moved his family to this beautiful valley known to the Cherokee Indians as Skeenah, meaning Big Bear. The Mill is listed in the Historic Mills of America and pictured on page 46 and 47. Made a reservation here last minute because it was one of the only places available in the area. Not expecting anything special, we were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, very laid-back and let us choose wherever we wanted to camp. We chose a great spot near the creek. The bathrooms are really clean and there’s great fishing in the creek itself. We will definitely come back to this place next time we’re camping up here!!

This place is Awesome! The host Gabriel was very nice and helpful! He even asked if we needed anything from town since he was going. Very peaceful and very nice and clean bathhouse. It was everything that I was wanting in a campground for our first night camping in our new tent. Power, water and a perfect site, right next to the old mill so we could hear the water flowing through the dam. We will definitely be visiting again!

Very nice place! Very nice people! Came up here memorial day weekend and everything was booked. The lady at the TVC referred me. It's more geared towards RV and campers. But in a pinch it worked for regular old car camping. Not as deep in the woods as I would have preferred, but it was really nice. Clean bathrooms and showers, affordable, the host lady (so sorry I forgot your name) was very very nice and accommodating... Would recommend this place to anyone looking for the set up they have to offer.
