Our goal of Wayne's Garage is to provide all of the information a customer needs to make an informed decision about their car repairs. The AC compressor is considered the heart of the air conditioning system since it pumps compressed refrigerant throughout the system. And it plays a critical role in the complex process, that makes sure that your car stays cool when you want it to. Turning on your AC on a regular basis can help keep parts lubricated and running smoothly.
When your A/C system does not cool the cabin properly, it might be time to recharge the system. Refrigerant is the liquid that runs through your A/C system cooling down as it flows, to ultimately convert hot air into cool. And without this liquid, your air conditioner won't be able to do it's job. If you notice that it's taking too long to cool down the cabin, an inspection or A/C recharge may be necessary.
The cabin air filter is generally a pleated paper filter placed in the outside air intake to the passenger compartment, and is designed to remove dust pollen, mold, spores and other contaminants as the outside air enters your vehicle. A clogged or dirty cabin air filter can significantly reduce air flow cabin vents, increase the load on the blower motor, and allow allergens sent to the cabin air stream.

They overcharge despite stating on their website that they are a neighborhood alternative to the "high cost" garages. They charged 4x the cost of the part based on Advanced Auto list for the part they replaced and an hour of labor for the 15-30 minute repair. It was pretty clear it was the alternator but they would not give me a ballpark estimate on price without seeing the truck. Unfortunately once it was towed there I didn't have much choice.

They took my car a day before I was scheduled. Called me with the diagnosis of my car trouble and fixed it fast. I just drove it home and they nailed it. It handled great. Plus I get a better warranty than the Honda dealers I’ve dealt with before. It’s nice to talk directly to the experts. I’ll be using Wayne’s Garage for now on.

These guys are great. I initially discovered them a couple years ago - needed a plug in a tire. I ran into the shop, asked them if they could quick take care of it. They said, absolutely! A few bucks and a few minutes later - I was on the road again! I now regularly have my truck serviced here. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and always take the time to explain any recommendations/ repairs/ problems they find. It means the world to have a good mechanic/ shop I can trust!

I got my oil changed at Wayne’s. I met Wanye - he’s a really nice and professional guy. He checked with me via phone call before installing air filters or doing anything extra, which I thought was really professional, and I really appreciated it. The price I was quoted is the price I paid, and it was a fair price. I’ll be back, hopefully not too soon, but when I need something, this is the place.

I was referred this place from my boyfriend who also got his car repairs here and he trusts the owner a lot. It's nice because you can reserve an online appointment on their website which made it easy to plan when to drop off the car. It is in the perfect location if you are a student and live in university city/west Philly because you can drop off the car and walk home. They contact you before they do anything to confirm the services and the estimated costs. I called early Friday afternoon to see if they could inspect my car, and 15 minutes later I was dropping off my car. They stayed in touch with me all afternoon, let me know what my car needed, and by 5pm my car was safe and ready to go. They couldn't have been nicer! Plus they gave me Halloween candy, which was adorable. I will definitely go back for next year's inspection!

I've never had anything short of an excellent experience at Wayne's Garage. I was there for an oil change this morning, and in the past they've done brake and transmission work for me, as well as my state inspection. Everyone here is very friendly and informative, and I find the pricing to be extremely fair for their level of service, which is both very good and exceptionally speedy. They've even offered me a ride in the past, when there was going to be a substantial wait time for my repairs. Wayne's will continue to be my shop of choice, and the place I recommend to friends

I own a garage on the other side of the state so, I know what to look for when searching for a repair facility away from home. My youngest daughter got a job in Philadelphia and at times needed a shop to take care of her car. Wayne's always treated her well. I would definitely recommend them to take care of your needs.

Fantastic service, honest mechanics, and an overall great experience - I could not recommend this place more highly. I originally took my car to a different mechanic and was told it would need thousands of dollars in repairs or it would not pass inspection (which I knew was bs). I then took the car to Wayne's and it turned out that all it needed to pass inspection was a new set of wiper blades. They also did necessary maintenance (new air filter, oil change, etc.), which was very reasonably priced. Thank you, Wayne's Garage!!!

Truly a ripoff. My 2010 Nissan Versa wouldn't start and Wayne's is the closest garage in my neighborhood, so I pushed it there. They charged me a diagnostic fee to look at it - sure, fine, that makes sense. They called me back later in the day to tell me that they ran all of these tests, this that and the third, but nothing was coming up conclusive. They charged me another hundred bucks to look at it more closely, and came back to me with like $800 worth of repairs: premium oil change, new spark plugs, power washing the fuel injectors?
