Services
Specialized Pain Management is an advanced medical practice that emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. This is the preferred method because patients realize maximal opportunity for improvement when input is promoted among specialists. Our Medical Director completed his training at Johns Hopkins (Anesthesia Residency) and the Cleveland Clinic (Pain Management Fellowship).
Dr. Daniel Batlan, Outstanding Nevada physician, founded Specialized Pain Management almost twenty (20) years ago. Since then, the Nevada practice has become one of the region's most respected in the field of Pain Medicine, basing its treatment of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions upon the belief that no one should suffer from pain.
Specialized Pain Management is dedicated to working with patients in a compassionate and personalized manner. Pain is a universal experience, yet each individual's encounter with pain is unique. At Specialized Pain Management, we begin with a comprehensive evaluation. Then, we formulate an individualized plan to help patients manage their pain.
Epidurals are one of the most common procedures that are performed by Pain Management specialists. They are performed to relieve neck and low back pain (as well as "Sciatica", or pain plus numbness in the legs or arms) that is caused by "herniated or slipped" discs in the spine, or "arthritis" (Osteoarthritis) of the spine.
A variety of "families" of medications are available. Indeed, "Interdisciplinary Medication Management" is a term that refers to the usage of medications in these different families for the purpose of gaining the benefits that each class of medication may offer. Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Agents - examples include Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Meloxicam & Diclofenac.

I attended an appointment with two family members.
No one in the office (including Dr. Batlan) asked either of them any questions about their pain levels, pain location, pain management, or if they had any new pain.
No one asked if pain medication was even working, or if there were any negative reactions.
No one asked for a list of other medications they were taking.
No one took any stats such as weight, temperature, or blood pressure. Batlan literally patted himself on the back for being a great doctor, filled their prescriptions and that ended the appointment.
I do not consider him to be

He is only in for the money! Last month he pulled me and maybe 6 other patients out to the hall didn't talk to any of us. Didn't examine anyone! Just told us all to get drug tested. Ok. Be knows all meds I'm on. But the one I take to sleep bothered him after drug test. Beforehand for over a year he didn't care. This appt. I waited 1 hr.8mins. Just so he could dismiss me because of night time med. I could actually take it every 4hrs as my legal prescription says. I take 1/2 at night. He at this time did no exam,no questions. But both times I had to pay 97.00 per visit. I am reporting him to all
