The mission is simple: serve delicious, affordable food that guests will want to return to day after day. Potato pancakes topped with cherry applewood smoked bacon, poached eggs and our hollandaise sauce. English muffin, corned beef hash and swiss cheese topped with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.

Not a single waitress or hostess was wearing a mask properly. Everyone either had a plastic "shield" under their chin or was wearing a paper mask under their nose and mouth. Some staff weren't wearing masks at all. The entire experience made me nervous and I got dirty looks for wearing my mask properly. Makes the entire town look bad.

I am a new resident to the area & my family is happy to find our new favorite breakfast spot. The vibe is very nice & the wait staff are all friendly every time. The eggs are always cooked perfect & pairing with their amazing corned beef hash is always a must! I would highly recommend to anyone living in the area or just driving by.

My wife and I were there today, Thursday,October 28th,at about noon. We had Mary as our server and she was very impersonal with us. I ordered a coffee for my wife only and she delivered 2 cups. We ordered chicken and rice soup and cream of potato soup. Mary gave my wife my soup and vice versa. She literally threw the oyster crackers on the table. Never checked back about the soup. Silvia ordered a wrap and I ordered a Reuben panini. It took 20-25 minutes to get them. Mary never checked back until we were 75% finished. She came back and put the check down and walked away. A shame that we didn't

Im sorry Ive ordered here Too many times out of convience. Every time we order we say its the last time. IM finally there I cant eat anymore tuff crappy steak or flavorless ham. If you want bacon and eggs nice easy and good. But it stops there. And never after a call to share our not being happy or close to satified with our food,has there been a call back or any involvement by management or the ownership to address it. SADLY WE FINALLYGONE !!!!!!!!!!! NO MORE!!!!!

A five star experience all around. The food was excellent and the coffee was great. My server was polite and fast with a refill. I have lived in the area for a long time, and this was my first time coming here. I will certainly come back soon and try different dishes. It's also in a fantastic location near scenic Glen Ellyn. A great place to grab breakfast and then make the short trip downtown to shop.

Average breakfast place with friendly and prompt service.
However on my first, and probably only visit, there was something very wrong with the hollandaise sauce. There's basically 3 ingredients in a hollandaise, and last i checked mustard was not one of them. Unfortunately my classic benedict was drowned in this junk. I would have welcomed a strong coffee to wash the taste away but wow is the coffee weak here.
I didnt complain or send it back ( i did manage to eat half of it ) with the help of some decent hash browns. However, i did mention it while paying my check. The response,

I agree with Jen's post. My wife and I decided to try Glen Oak about a year ago and have been occasionally coming here since. It is worth the little extra drive for us for the nice ambience, aesthetics, great menu selection, and staff has always been friendly. Each visit we will try something different and we have never been dissatisfied and was always great tasting.
I would have given Glen Oak 5 stars however I have one slightly negative comment. The host/cashier needs to polish her customer and personal skills.(sorry owners)..

I really did not enjoy my experience here at this diner. I was with a party of 8 people. They told us the wait was going to be 10 minutes, but it turned into 40 minutes. The process of ordering and getting our food took a whole hour. When I got my waffle, it was completely burnt. The bacon and toast were good, but my waffle was horrible. Other people in my party got raw pancakes. Just not a good experience at the Glen O

I love eating here whenever I am in town. They serve incredible omlettes. My favorite is the Denver omlette with cheddar cheese. Fresh ingredients and the hash browns are always perfectly crisp. The omlette comes with a side of two pancakes or toast. Can't beat that! And Glen Oaks now serves Stewart's cold brew, which was really good.

Decided to try a new place for breakfast today.. We ended up here and it was okay. Had to try the sweet potato puffs as it seemed it was the rave here, and honestly they were not that great. Coffee tasted burnt and watered down, and trust me I know Coffee- I love coffee, but this coffee was just not good at all.
