Tony's Bikes & Sports was founded in 1992 by Tony Arnold. In its early years, Tony would service & sell bicycles, skateboards, and snowboards. Together he and his father met the community's need for a core cycle shop run by cyclists. He eventually returned to school and, in 1996, sold the shop to Anthony Libretti, both of whom were great friends and veteran cyclists.
Tony had worked with Anthony in the shop, showing him how his love for cycling had fueled his life dream. Anthony Libretti went on to grow the shop, developing their shared vision of being a rider owned & operated shop, sharing their love of cycling and action sports in the area. During his time, he partnered with many non-profits to raise money and while growing the local cycling community.

Recently purchased my bike here. It was my first time purchasing a bike from a bike shop and these guys were great. Allan was extremely friendly knowledgeable and helpful. After purchasing the bike I had a little problem with my bike rack and Mike spent a good amount of time helping me secure the bike so that i can make it back home. Overall I was very please with the experience and would highly recommend this shop!

Took my bike in to get both tubes replaced, fit me in during a very busy time Saturday afternoon and they had them done within an hour. Staff was attentive, professional and very knowledgeable. Great local shop, they are my new first choice for all my cycle needs to include when I decide to upgrade the ones I already have.

My wife was looking for a bike. We stopped into to Tony's to look. Shop was very clean and had a large selection. The sales associate was very helpful and explained the differences and made suggestions. My wife picked out one she liked and they made sure it was a good fit. Great experience. Would definitely recommend them.

Always knew the shop was there and haven't been in a while due to things in life changing. My daughter needed a bigger and better bike and they didn't disappoint! Got her a new Liv and the crew had it prepped and ready to roll out the door in minutes. Great crew, very knowledgeable and don't give you a sales pitch to get you into a bike that you really don't need.

Love this place. Although as a result of Covid-19 protocols I had to wait in a line outside of the place for about 30 minutes, it was still worth the wait. I was looking to purchase two bikes, one for me and one for my girlfriend. We are novice riders and really did not have a clue about what we wanted. We wanted to make sure we had very comfortable bikes because we wanted to start riding this year. The gentleman who took care of us was Alan (sp?). He was extremely patient with us. He asked us what we were looking for and what our goals were. After understanding what we wanted he then found my

Very professional operation, well-staffed with knowledgeable technicians. They offer top-of-the-line, quality bikes. They quickly helped me with a minor issue and then advised me not to put any money into the bike, not worth it. He could have soaked me. Nice to do business with honest people.

I had a great experience at this store. Needed a bike pump as I did not have one that was compatible to my bikes presta valve. The store does not let people inside due Covid issues. So the man (maybe Tony) came out with two pumps of different prices. We picked one and he insisted on demonstrating how to use it. (On the sidewalk). I was impressed. Friendly and helpful. Good store for sure

In a world where you can look things up and order them online, a brick and mortar bike shop with a community like the one that exists at Tony's is really wonderful to find. It's more than a place to buy a bike or some parts, if I need advice on parts to buy, where to take a build, or just some repair work, this is without a doubt the place to go.

Good: nice selection of top notch quality bikes
Bad:
This place really needs a customer friendly person running the front desk and sales. All the guys are disgruntled pissy people who should just stay in the back and fix bikes. Had a few bad experiences here with the customer service - they make you feel bad and wrong with everything if you need something fixed. really unfortunate. Took them 45 min to deal with 3 customers in line LOL. But hey they did fix my bike, a simple fix, took them 2 weeks LOL.

I went looking for a bike a couple of years ago. Since I live in Milford, I wanted to support this local business. Suffice to say, I did not buy my bike here. There was a problem with the chain on the bike I was testing. The mechanic looked at it but did not fix it. When I brought it back after my second test ride and mentioned it was still doing it, the owner got hostile with me. He essentially tried to tell me I was imagining things and was totally dismissive of my complaint. Needless to say I walked out, never to return. I ended up purchasing my bicycle at Amity Bicycles in Woodbridge and had

I like to shop at local businesses. I will not go to Tony's in Milford again. I purchased a bike for my son at this store and it was a positive experience; however, when I brought an older bike in for advice/repair, the salesperson was rude. He was short with me and basically told me to throw the bike away and purchase a new one--after telling me a new bike starts at $340.00 and it would cost me at least $300 to repair mine. I asked if they recycled or donated parts and he had no interest in recycling or serving people in need. I am sure he would have been happy to sell me a new bike. I took

Although very busy, they always take time to ask questions and understand my needs. I am new to cycling and they make me feel comfortable asking silly questions. They answer my questions and go beyond to explain things I had not even thought of.
Plenty of bikes and accessories to choose from. Love this place.
