Smart Cycles is a lot more than just an ordinary bike shop. We can get you on your dream bike, but we can also get you geared up to enjoy that dream bike in any riding situation. Smart Cycles understands bike fit about as well as anyone. With over 30 years of experience with the process, we're also in a very unique situation that benefits every cyclist who wants to make proper fit a priority. The owner of Smart Cycles, Alex Stanek, is also the owner of Cicli-il-Massimo - a boutique, artisan bicycle frame manufacturer.
Smart Cycles has always been committed to the female cyclist. From day one, we have understood that providing services and products to women, as well as encouraging female participation in cycling at all levels was a core purpose of our business. Nowadays, cycling brands have many 'female specific' bike models, accessories, and components.
A bike is not a toy, so don't treat it like one. A properly assembled and tuned bike is more likely to be SAFE as well as a lot more fun to ride. If you have purchased a bike somewhere else, we are happy to assemble it for you. You can even have it shipped directly to us to avoid all the hassles of having a somewhat large bike box delivered to your home.
Typical, in-store, service write-up is still available as usual, but you can now begin a work order for bicycle repairs anytime it's convenient for you right here -online. One form per bike serviced. Once you submit a work order, you'll get an email which you can print and attach to your bike - or follow other options for tagging your bicycle.

I have been on the never ending hour of trying to purchase a cruising/comfortable rider for several weeks and unfortunately most bike stores are low in stock or just didn't have want I wanted. Luckily when I visited this place I went through what I was looking for in a bike, mind you I am a super novice rider and they suggested I come back in a few weeks because they were getting deliveries on a weekly basis. Purchased Intense MTB from Smart Cycles . Was yet another great experience! The bike is a trail slayer. My wife and I have been buying bikes and equipment there for many years and recently for our kids as well. Even got the grandparents to get fitted for bikes which is something the guys at the shop are phenomenal at. Support small business and stop in you won’t be disappointed.

From guiding me through the purchase use of my children's bikes, simple tune ups, walking me through DIY repairs, all the way to the recent purchase of a serious mountain bike, the smart cycles team has been amazing.

I was desperate to get my nephew a bike ... Not knowing that there was a shortage in the US, I entered the store in April thinking I would walk out with that in one day. They took the time to order it for me and with a little patience on my part we were able to ship it to my nephew in Texas with the bike arriving in plenty of time for his birthday. I must add while there was a line it was quickand once inside all my questions were answered by a staff member. Top service, patience with all my crazy demands and they kept within my budget.

Stopped in for something small
I assume it was the owner was not friendly and obnoxious
your loss as I told the other person that works in the store i just trashed my bike
I guess when I get my new bike your store is out of the running

Bought a bike from these guys... they said it was a 2019 - went to register it and it was a 2018. Huge difference when dealing with electric bikes. Different motor, different top speed. Asked the owner how he would like to explain it... he played dumb. Do your homework - these guys prey on uninformed consumers.

I bought a new bike a year ago. I brought it in this Spring/Summer to have the bike tuned up.
(The Sale was $80.) Upon dropping it off I explained that the front brakes pads were rubbing. Also , that while riding the bike was making loud noise. I specifically asked them to take the pedal housing apart as I believe something inside was broken.
After my bike had been there over a week, I received a call to pick it up. Upon picking it up, my tire was flat. ( don't understand???? If you checked my bike over, how is my tire flat?)Should have been my forewarning.
I wasn't able to ride until

I want to give a review on Smart Cycles and dealing with Alex. One thing I will say is a lot of people go out there way to leave negative feedback and rarely leave positive feedback. I have over 100+ reviews both positive and negative. Also considered a local guide with Google. So with that out the way I want to leave my feedback on Smart Cycles.

Smart Cycles Rocks! These guys are great. I've bought two bikes here and have sent a couple friends in who also bought bikes. They all agree with me. Recently, I bought wheel parts and cranks online. Long story short, I ordered the right stuff but the online store sent the wrong parts. Smart Cycles discovered this while building my wheels. They could have banged me for 4 hours of labor, and they explained to me WHY THEY COULD/SHOULD have done so...and they were right...but Alex, the owner was so cool and let it go saying he appreciated all the business I have given them. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced!!!
I've been to this store a few other times where I've purchased tubes, tires, and an iPhone mount for my bicycle. No real complaints, until this most recent visit. I wait in line with one customer in front of me and one behind me, and all I need is a bolt for my frame. The sales man said that I could go down to my local hardware store for this item and that they could better match this bolt. I asked "don't you carry any bicycle hardware"? His response, "we do but I have other customers". Apparently

I have used this store for over ten years. They have excellent service. They have kept several used bicycles (one over forty years old) going with no complaints. They never tried to sell me new equipment or unnecessary gear,and genuinely are interested in helping each customer fully enjoy the sport.
