The hospital was established over 30 years ago by Dr. Michael House, a local hometown veterinarian known and respected by many. Dr. House unexpectedly passed away in 2010.

Although we handle the majority of your pet's medical and surgical needs in-house, we occasionally refer patients to veterinary specialists or specialty clinics when advanced training or equipment will be beneficial.

Thanks to all of the team members. They were friendly and kind! Had my bunny neutered, nails trimmed, and an ear infection diagnosed. Pain meds for after surgery, antibiotics for ear infection. He seems fine, So glad I found Animal Hospital of Pitt County. After surgery talking with Dr. Anne Eldridge, I felt that my bun had the best care around this area.

We were worried about having our rescue dog groomed as he seemed to have a bad experience when we had him groomed elsewhere.
We were greeted at our car by the very sweet staff and groomer Samantha.
She took note of our concerns and how we wanted him groomed. Our little guy was taken to be bathed and groomed.
When we returned we found a happy and handsome boy. Samantha had done a fantastic job and our little guy was happy. I believe we have found our perfect groomer.

I switched my pets over to Animal Hospital of Pitt County and today was my dog, Sammie’s first appointment and it went great. The receptionists, vet techs, and her vet, Dr. Moritz were all super nice, helpful, and caring. They answered all my questions I had and were also super affordable! There was even some confusion with the vet records that were transferred over from the other vet I was using and they got it all straightened out for me with no added stress for me. I will be taking my cat, Levi there for his checkup tomorrow! I would definitely recommend them to anyone searching for a

Dr Eldridge is the best veterinarian anywhere! She is knowledgeable, patient and loving to all animals. She’s thoughtful and kind and tries to be as flexible as she can. I can never thank her enough for always making my cat comfortable. Sunshiney girl luvs her and so does my family!

I love the vets and staff. They are extremely kind and welcoming. They are professional but not overly so. They have a kindness added in that takes off the edge. I have been to several different vets I currently have 5 dogs. This office is a keeper. I have gone to this vet office multiple times before leaving this review. I highly recommend.

We had an emergency due to my puppy breaking his leg and we just decided to pop up and see if they would be able to see him. They worked him in asap and gave excellent customer service. They were informative, affordable, and went the extra mile. I appreciate them and all they did for my puppy. From me they come highly recommended!!!
